Staff Office Chair Installation

Admin October 13, 2026

The installation steps for a staff office chair are as follows:

  1. Install the chair wheels and gas lift
Insert each chair wheel vertically into the assembly holes of the five-star base, ensuring that each wheel is fully embedded and secure. Flip the five-star base so that the wheels face downward, align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the five-star base, and press down vertically until fully inserted. Some installation instructions suggest assembling the five wheels onto the five-star base first before inserting the gas lift, or directly inserting the gas lift into the tray hole (if the tray and five-star base are separate designs). The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height, so ensure it is installed securely.

  2. Install the base and seat cushion
Place the base (tray) on the bottom of the seat cushion, paying attention to the orientation of the base (usually marked or with grooves corresponding to the seat cushion structure). After aligning with the four screw holes on the seat cushion, use a screwdriver to screw in each of the four screws 3-4 turns initially (to avoid misalignment from tightening all at once), then tighten all the screws sequentially to ensure a tight connection between the base and the seat cushion. Some designs may use long screws to directly fix the base, so choose the appropriate screw length according to the accessory type.

  3. Install the backrest
Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest installation holes on both sides of the seat cushion, insert vertically, and then use two screws to secure the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest brackets (some designs require medium screws to install the backrest rod with the groove facing upward). Subsequently, align the back of the backrest with the installation holes on the seat cushion brackets, and use two wrenches to lock the screws in place (one hand holds the nut, the other tightens the screw) to ensure the backrest is stable without wobbling.

  4. Install the armrests
Press the button below the armrest surface (if there is a spring-loaded clip design), insert the left and right armrests into the holes of the armrest brackets respectively, adjust to the appropriate height, and then use long screws (or No. 3 screws) to secure the armrests from the bottom of the brackets. Some armrests need to be connected to the seat cushion through a bracket, so choose the screw specification according to the specific structure.

  5. Install other components

    • Headrest: Place the headrest vertically in the middle of the top of the backrest, press the installation area of the headrest to make it fit the backrest, and tighten it with two screws through the headrest fixing clips.
    • Footrest assembly: Fix the footrest rod to the footrest pad, insert it into the footrest frame, and then use two small screws to block the small hole at the end of the footrest rod (to prevent it from being pulled out with excessive force). If it is a 9-point massage model, plug in the power massage cable and test the function.

Precautions: Before installation, check that all accessories are complete to avoid missing screws or tools; avoid tilting the gas lift during installation to prevent damage to the internal structure; all screws should be tightened until there is no looseness, but avoid over-tightening to prevent thread stripping; after installation, gently shake the chair to check the stability of each component.
