Self-Installed Office Chair

Admin October 11, 2026

For self-installing an office chair, you can refer to the following steps, which are divided into two cases: the installation of the TOAI E1 office chair and the installation of a general office chair:

TOAI E1 Office Chair Installation

  1. Install the wheels and gas lift: Align the wheels with the chair legs and press them in firmly to ensure they are securely installed. Then, place the gas lift vertically into the hole in the middle of the chair. This is a key component for the chair's height adjustment function. When installing, pay attention to the direction of the gas lift to ensure it works properly.
  2. Connect the seat cushion and the backrest: Take out the seat cushion and the backrest and connect them. Use three M8 screws to fix the backrest. When tightening the screws, ensure that the backrest and the seat cushion are tightly connected without any looseness to guarantee the chair's stability and comfort.
  3. Install the armrests: Connect the armrests to the seat cushion. First, fix one armrest, then flip the chair seat over and fix the other armrest. During the installation process, pay attention to whether the position of the armrests is correct and whether the screws are tightened to prevent the armrests from wobbling during use.
  4. Install the footrest: Take the footrest and insert it into the hole under the seat cushion. Ensure that the footrest is installed properly and can be used normally.
  5. Install the gas lift and the base: Align the gas lift with the base and slowly insert the gas lift. Be careful during the operation to avoid damaging the gas lift or the base.
  6. Install the headrest: Finally, insert the headrest into the corresponding position on the backrest. At this point, the installation of the TOAI E1 office chair is complete.

General Office Chair Installation

  1. Install the wheels: First, install the five wheels onto the five corners of the chair respectively. Ensure that each wheel can rotate flexibly and is firmly installed so that it will not fall off during use.
  2. Install the gas spring: Insert the gas spring vertically into the hole in the middle of the chair. The gas spring is a key component for adjusting the chair's height. When installing, ensure its verticality to avoid affecting the chair's height adjustment function.
  3. Install the base and the seat plate: Attach the base to the bottom of the seat plate and use four long screws to fix the base to the seat plate. When tightening the screws, ensure that the base and the seat plate are tightly connected without any looseness.
  4. Connect the backrest and the seat plate: Connect the backrest and the seat plate using corner brackets and tighten the screws to make the backrest and the seat plate firmly combined, ensuring the overall stability of the chair.
