Office Chair with Wheels
An office chair with wheels, also known as a rolling office chair, is a type of seat with rotation and mobility functions, widely used in modern office settings.

Core Structure and Functions
The support system of a rolling office chair consists of five parts: the base, gas lift, seat cushion, backrest, and wheels. The gas lift adjusts the height by compressing gas, accommodating desk heights of 120-150 centimeters to meet the needs of users of different heights. The seat cushion, made of high-density foam, effectively disperses pressure on the buttocks, enhancing comfort during prolonged sitting. The backrest is often designed as a high backrest, combined with breathable mesh or waterproof fabric, providing both support and breathability. The wheels are usually universal wheels, allowing smooth movement on carpets or hard floors, with some models featuring a locking function for enhanced stability.
Adjustable Functions and Suitability
Modern office chairs offer multi-dimensional adjustable functions: the backrest angle supports reclining from 90ยฐ to 135ยฐ, suitable for various scenarios such as working and resting. The headrest design provides additional support for the cervical spine, relieving neck fatigue. However, people with back or waist pain are not recommended to use rolling office chairs for long periods, as frequent movement may increase the burden on the waist muscles and worsen symptoms.
Key Selection Parameters
- Weight Capacity: Generally around 150 kilograms, it should be selected based on the user's weight to avoid overloading and damaging the structure.
- Gas Lift Safety Certification: It should pass international certifications such as SGS to ensure the gas lift is explosion-proof and safe to use.
- Fabric Characteristics: Prefer materials with good waterproof properties for easy cleaning and enhanced durability.
- Wheel Material: For hard floors (such as tiles and wooden floors), PU wheels are recommended to reduce noise and protect the floor; for carpeted environments, nylon wheels are needed to enhance grip.
- Warranty Period: Usually 2 years, and when purchasing, attention should be paid to the after-sales service terms provided by the brand.
Usage Precautions
During long-term use, regularly check the wear and tear of components such as the gas lift and wheels to avoid safety hazards caused by aging. If the office environment has an uneven floor, a carpet or non-slip mat can be used to enhance stability.
