Office Chair Style Classification
Admin October 11, 2026
Office chair styles can mainly be classified into two categories: classification by usage scenarios and design features, and classification of office swivel chair series.

Classification by Usage Scenarios and Design Features
- Work Chairs: Primarily suitable for workplaces such as production workshops. These chairs have a simple composition and are mainly designed to meet basic work sitting posture needs. They place greater emphasis on practicality and durability in design, enabling them to adapt to relatively complex and variable work environments and provide stable support for workers, facilitating long-term production operations and other tasks.
- Student Chairs: Often used in schools and conference venues, etc. Their composition is also simple. Considering the usage needs of students and conference attendees, they focus on versatility and comfort in design, being able to meet the basic sitting posture requirements of people of different heights and body types, providing suitable seats for students to attend classes and conference attendees to communicate.
- Computer Chairs: Widely applicable in office environments. They have a relatively small volume and take up little space, making them very suitable for use in offices where space is relatively limited. The design of computer chairs usually takes into account the sitting posture of people when using computers for long periods and is equipped with certain lumbar support and adjustable functions to reduce the fatigue of users and improve work efficiency.
- Mid-back Manager Chairs: These chairs have a relatively large volume and take up more space. They are usually used by management personnel. In addition to meeting basic sitting posture needs, the design of these chairs also focuses on comfort and a certain sense of quality to reflect the identity and status of the users.
Classification of Office Swivel Chair Series
- Executive Chairs: They feature a high-back structure and come standard with armrests. The high back provides good support for the user's back and neck, relieving fatigue caused by prolonged sitting. The armrests allow users to place their arms conveniently, reducing shoulder pressure. Executive chairs are usually used in the offices of senior management personnel to demonstrate their authority and status.
- Mid-back Manager Chairs (Swivel): They belong to the office swivel chair series. Their design is between executive chairs and staff chairs, having a certain degree of comfort and support while not taking up too much space, making them suitable for middle-level management personnel.
- Staff Chairs: They have a low-back and no-armrest design. This design makes staff chairs more concise and lightweight, taking up little space, and suitable for ordinary staff to use in office areas, being able to meet basic office sitting posture needs.
