Office Chair PP Material
The PP material of office chairs, namely polypropylene, is a thermoplastic polymer with various characteristics and is widely used in the manufacturing of office chairs.

PP material has anti-fatigue properties and can return to its original shape after repeated stress. This characteristic makes it highly suitable for the lumbar support part of office chairs, providing long-lasting elastic support for the lumbar support of the seat. It is not prone to deformation even after prolonged use, effectively relieving lumbar fatigue and enhancing user comfort.
In the structure of office chairs, seat plates and backrests made of PP material are relatively common. Some products also feature a breathable mesh design on the backrest. This design combines the characteristics of PP material, ensuring both the supportiveness of the backrest and increased breathability, preventing users from feeling stuffy during long periods of sitting and improving overall comfort.
The lumbar support modules molded from PP injection molding have unique design advantages. They can achieve zoned pressure bearing through internal rib structures, corresponding to the physiological curvature of the lumbar spine. This design can better conform to the shape of the human lumbar spine, providing precise support for the lumbar spine, reducing lumbar pressure, and helping to prevent and alleviate lumbar spine diseases.
In addition, the surface of PP material is usually subjected to special treatment. After plasma treatment or primer treatment, its surface polarity can be changed, improving the wetting and spreading ability of adhesives. This treatment method ensures that the lumbar support module will not separate from the main structure under frequent stress, guaranteeing the structural stability and service life of the office chair.
PP material also has hydrolysis resistance and is not prone to degradation in humid environments. This allows office chairs made of PP material to be used in different environmental conditions. Even in environments with high humidity, they can maintain good performance without material damage or deformation due to moisture, further extending the service life of the office chairs.
