Office chair packers can be divided into two categories based on job nature: packaging engineers and furniture packers, with differences in job responsibilities, salaries, and requirements.

Packaging Engineer Position

Job Responsibilities:

1. Packaging Design and Optimization: Responsible for the structural design of new product packaging, including packaging forms, capacity design, material selection, and sample production and testing for finished and semi-finished products. Need to output the most cost-effective plan according to the transportation method.
2. Technical Document Preparation: Prepare technical documents such as packaging drawings, work instructions, stacking documents, and material lists to ensure standardized production.
3. Problem Improvement: Analyze customer complaints about packaging structure and optimize plans accordingly.
4. Cost and Efficiency Improvement: Improve the cost, quality, and production efficiency of existing packaging plans, such as optimizing materials or processes while maintaining quality.

Job Requirements:

1. Education and Major: College degree or above, with priority given to majors such as packaging engineering, materials science and engineering, and mechanical engineering.
2. Skill Requirements: Proficient in using 2D/3D software for design analysis and Office software for preparing technical documents.
3. Experience Requirements: At least 3 years of experience in product packaging design and production, familiar with testing standards, export requirements, container loading standards, and material cost accounting.

Salary Level: Taking Sihoo Furniture (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. as an example, the salary range is 10K - 15K, with 100% of positions within this range.

Furniture Packer Position

Job Responsibilities:

1. Packing and Fixing: Pack finished furniture into boxes, seal them, label them, pack hardware accessories and cores, and reinforce them with nail guns and wooden frames according to packaging drawings.
2. Inspection and Protection: Inspect the quality of finished products before packing, select packaging materials reasonably to enhance safety, and support logistics and warehousing protection needs.
3. Cleaning and Organization: Keep the work area clean, organize materials and equipment, and take turns performing tasks such as picking up boards, cleaning, label entry, and wrapping with paper.
4. Occasional Truck Following: Some positions require assisting with delivery and loading large items such as marble dining tables.

Job Requirements:

1. Age and Physical Fitness: Most positions require ages between 20 and 45, with some放宽 (relaxation) to within 50 years old. Need to be agile and hardworking.
2. Experience and Attitude: Experienced workers are preferred. Must be obedient to arrangements, able to accept overtime, and work conscientiously and responsibly.
3. Education Requirements: Junior high school or technical secondary school education is sufficient, with little correlation between salary and education level.

Salary Level: The overall monthly salary is concentrated between 4.5K and 8K (71.5% of positions are within this range). Some factories pay by the hour (19 yuan per hour for day shifts plus meal allowances, and 8 yuan per day for night shift allowances).
