Office Chair Installation Structure
The installation structure of an office chair typically consists of components such as chair legs, casters, gas lift, base, seat, armrests, backrest, and headrest. The installation steps should be carried out in order to ensure stability.

1. Caster and Chair Leg Installation
Casters are the core components for the mobility of an office chair, usually designed as universal wheels. When installing, align the casters with the reserved holes on the chair legs and secure them by either directly inserting or screwing them in. For example, the casters of the Xiamu Fit CC office chair are designed for insertion and can be installed by simply embedding them into the holes of the alloy chair legs. This step requires ensuring a tight connection between the casters and the chair legs to prevent looseness or abnormal noise during subsequent use.
2. Gas Lift and Chair Leg Connection
The gas lift is responsible for adjusting the height of the seat. Before installation, check if the surface of the gas lift is smooth and remove the protective cap on the top (if any). Insert the gas lift vertically into the central hole of the chair legs, ensuring it is fully embedded and not tilted. The installation quality of the gas lift directly affects the lifting function of the chair. If it is not inserted properly, the gas lift may fall off or the lifting function may fail.
3. Base and Seat Fixation
The base is a key component connecting the seat to the gas lift and is usually fixed to the bottom of the seat with screws. When installing, pay attention to the orientation of the base (such as front-back or left-right markings) to avoid incorrect installation that may cause functional abnormalities. Use the matching screws to tighten the base to the seat. Some designs may have reserved adjustment holes for subsequent adjustment of the backrest tilt angle.
4. Seat and Gas Lift Assembly
Align the seat (with the base already installed) with the top of the gas lift and gently press down to fully embed the holes of the base into the gas lift. This step requires maintaining vertical force to avoid side pressure that may damage the gas lift. After insertion, gently shake the seat to confirm there is no wobbling before proceeding to the next step.
5. Armrest and Backrest Installation
The installation of the armrests should be adjusted according to the design (such as fixed or adjustable). For some models, the screws of the armrests do not need to be fully tightened during the initial installation to facilitate subsequent position adjustment. The backrest is usually connected to the seat with screws and should be aligned with the reserved holes and initially fixed. For example, the backrest of the Xiamu Fit CC is designed as an integral molding and can be installed by simply inserting it into the supporting structure of the seat and tightening the screws.
6. Headrest and Detail Adjustment
The headrest is fixed to the backrest with screws or clips. When installing, align the height and angle. Finally, check if all screws are tightened and install detail components such as armrest decorative caps. Some office chairs (such as the Xiamu Fit CC) have backrests that support forward and backward adjustment, which should be adjusted to a comfortable position according to the user's body shape.
Precautions: Avoid excessive force during installation to prevent damage to the components. If hole misalignment or mismatched screws are encountered, stop immediately and check the instruction manual. Special designs (such as adjustable backrests) should be operated according to the instruction manual to ensure normal functionality.
