Office Chair Cushion Adjustment
The adjustment of an office chair cushion should combine height, front-back position, and tilt angle, achieving a comfortable sitting posture through standardized operations. Here are the specific adjustment methods:

1. Height Adjustment: Ensure Feet Rest Naturally on the Ground
When adjusting the cushion height, base it on ergonomics so that your feet lie flat on the ground and your thighs are roughly parallel to the ground. At this point, your knees should be bent at 90ยฐ-100ยฐ, with your body weight evenly distributed, reducing lumbar pressure and maintaining upper body stability. If the chair is equipped with a pneumatic height adjustment rod, you can press the adjustment lever (usually on the right or rear side) under the seat up and down until the desired height is reached. Note: Maintaining a sitting posture that is too high or too low for an extended period can lead to poor blood circulation or shoulder and neck fatigue, so height adjustment is fundamental to sitting health.
2. Front-Back Position Adjustment: Match Leg Length to Desk Distance
The adjustment methods vary for different models of office chairs:
- C100 Premium Edition: Adjust the front-back position using the metal handle under the seat. Pulling the handle forward moves the cushion forward, while pulling it backward moves it backward. After adjustment, ensure there is a gap of about 2-3 finger widths between the back of your knees and the front edge of the seat to avoid compressing blood vessels or nerves.
- General Adjustment Method: Some chairs use a slide rail design. Users can sit on the chair, lean forward, and use both hands to push the seat to the desired position, then sit upright to check leg comfort. Key Point: After adjustment, keep your thighs perpendicular to your calves to avoid having your knees hang in the air if the cushion is too far forward or pressing on your thighs if it is too far back.
3. Tilt Angle Adjustment: Suit Different Work Scenarios
Some high-end office chairs support cushion tilt angle adjustment, which can be controlled by a knob or lever under the seat:
- Forward Tilt Mode: Suitable for desk work or detailed operations, where the front of the cushion is slightly pressed down, tilting the pelvis slightly forward and reducing the degree of lumbar bending.
- Backward Tilt Mode: Suitable for meetings or rest scenarios, where the rear of the cushion sinks, distributing body pressure to the backrest. Note: The tilt angle should not be too large (recommended not to exceed 5ยฐ), as excessive rearward tilt may cause a risk of sliding due to the shift in the center of gravity.
Post-Adjustment Verification: After completing all adjustments, sit upright and check the status of various body parts: feet resting naturally on the ground, knees slightly bent, waist supported by the backrest, and arms easily reaching the desktop. If you experience numbness, soreness, or twisted posture, readjust the parameters slightly. Regular minor adjustments every 1-2 hours can further alleviate fatigue from prolonged sitting.
