Office Chair Bundling
The following methods can be referred to for office chair bundling, which require a combination of disassembly protection, wrapping reinforcement, and the use of specialized tools to achieve secure fixation:

1. Disassembly and Protection Handling Prioritize disassembling foldable or easily damaged components to reduce transportation risks. For example, for swivel chairs, invert them and pry open the buckles to remove the casters. Place small parts like screws into sealed bags and secure them to the corresponding components with tape to prevent loss. For upholstered office chairs, it is recommended to wrap them entirely with old bedsheets or bubble wrap: choose bubble wrap with a width of 5cm and wrap it around the chair body more than 5 layers, focusing on covering prominent parts such as the backrest and armrests to effectively cushion against logistics impacts. If the chair has a metal frame, add cardboard or foam board at the contact points to prevent scratches.
2. Stretch Film Shaping and Reinforcement Start spiraling the stretch film upwards from the bottom of the chair legs, focusing on wrapping precision components such as the gas lift and adjustment handles, as these areas are prone to functional failure due to compression. If the chair is in a folded state, wrap the stretch film around it 3 times to form a fixing ring and prevent it from coming apart during transportation. For home use, it is recommended to use stretch film with a width of 45cm. During operation, two people can cooperate: one slowly rotates the chair while the other simultaneously stretches the film and maintains tension, which can improve efficiency and ensure tight wrapping. After wrapping, check for any exposed areas and supplement the wrapping if necessary.
3. Fixing with Specialized Bundling Tools The market offers a variety of bundling products suitable for office chairs:
- Moving Chair and Table Bundling Ropes: These are made of materials such as polyester, chemical fiber, and jute, and some support custom lengths. Polyester ropes are highly wear-resistant and suitable for long-distance transportation; chemical fiber ropes have low elasticity and can prevent loosening during transportation.
- Cargo Tensioning Straps: These achieve rapid tightening through a ratchet mechanism. When operating, pass the rope body through the chair frame or armrests and rotate the handle to lock it, which is suitable for fixing chairs with irregular shapes.
- Child Safety Seat Bundling Straps: Although designed for safety seats, their buckle-type structure is also applicable to office chairs and can be used to cross-fix the backrest and seat surface to enhance stability.
Precautions: After bundling, gently shake the chair to test its firmness and ensure there is no looseness; if using metal bundling devices, add soft cloth at the contact points to prevent scratching the chair surface coating. For electric office chairs, it is recommended to disconnect the power supply in advance and secure the battery compartment to avoid the risk of short circuits.
