Office Chair Base Adjustment
Office chair base adjustment should be carried out from four aspects: abnormal noise debugging, recline function debugging, dynamic adjustment logic, and daily maintenance to ensure comfort and safety during use.

1. Abnormal Noise Debugging
Abnormal noises in the chair base are often caused by loose structures, insufficient lubrication, or worn-out components. First, check that all screws are tightened, especially at the connection between the wheels and the base, to prevent loosening due to prolonged use. Apply professional lubricant to the wheel axles, pneumatic lift mechanisms, and connecting joints to reduce friction noise. If the pressure in the pneumatic lift mechanism is abnormal, use a dedicated air pump to replenish air to the normal range. When the wheels do not rotate smoothly, disassemble them to clean internal dust or replace worn-out wheels to ensure smooth rotation without abnormal noises.
2. Recline Function Debugging
The recline function should balance smoothness and locking stability. A base with a single locking recline can preset angles (such as 90ยฐ for office work and 120ยฐ for resting) to meet various scenarios. A synchronous tilt base enhances recline comfort through a coordinated design between the seat cushion and the backrest. A cable-controlled base centralizes adjustment handles for convenient operation. A gravity-sensing base automatically adjusts the recline resistance according to the user's weight, catering to different users. During debugging, test whether the recline angle can be precisely locked to prevent sliding or stuttering.
3. Dynamic Adjustment Logic
The seat height, lumbar support position, and backrest angle should be adjusted scientifically. The seat height should allow the feet to rest flat on the ground with the thighs parallel to the ground, avoiding leg suspension or pressure. The lumbar support should be precisely positioned at the third lumbar vertebra to maintain the natural curvature of the spine and reduce fatigue from prolonged sitting. It is recommended to lock the backrest recline angle between 100ยฐ and 110ยฐ to disperse intervertebral disc pressure and protect lumbar health. For short breaks, switch to the rocking mode and adjust the damping knob to match the backrest resistance with the user's weight for natural rebound.
4. Daily Maintenance
Avoid frequently pushing or pulling the chair on hard surfaces to reduce wheel wear. Regularly check the tightness of screws to prevent loosening due to vibrations. Clean dust from the base and wheels to prevent debris from getting stuck and affecting functionality. After prolonged use, apply secondary lubrication to key components such as the pneumatic rod and wheel axles to extend their service life. If structural damage (such as cracks or deformation) occurs in the base, replace it promptly to avoid safety hazards.
