Office Chair Armrest Adjustment

Admin October 11, 2026

The methods for adjusting the seat height of office chairs with different types of armrests vary, as detailed below:

C100 Premium Office Chair

This office chair has two metal armrests for adjusting the seat. To adjust the seat's front-to-back position, push one of the metal armrests forward. To adjust the seat height, push the other metal armrest forward. Additionally, its armrests have a gear adjustment function. Gently lift the armrests, and after reaching the highest position, they will automatically return to the first gear. You can operate them according to your personal needs.

Standard Pneumatic Swivel Chairs

  • Single Armrest Scenario: If the chair has only one armrest, lifting this armrest upward will raise the seat height. When a person is sitting on the chair, lifting the armrest will lower the seat height. This utilizes the principle of the air rod inside the pneumatic swivel chair, adjusting the seat height by changing the state of the high-pressure gas inside the air rod.
  • Dual Armrest Scenario: If the chair has two armrests, first identify which one is for height adjustment. After determining it, follow the operation method for a single armrest, i.e., lift it upward to raise the seat height and lift it while sitting on the chair to lower the seat height.

Other Common Adjustment Methods

  • Armrest Under the Seat: When there is an armrest under the chair seat, lifting the armrest upward compresses the high-pressure gas inside the air rod, causing the seat to rise. To lower the seat, turn the handle upward while sitting on the chair to prevent the high-pressure air in the air rod from rebounding, and the chair will descend.
  • Fixed Screws at the Bottom of the Swivel Chair: For chairs with fixed screws at the bottom of the swivel chair, first loosen the screws, adjust the seat to the desired height, and then refasten the screws.
  • Two Adjustment Levers Under the Seat: While sitting on the seat, lift the lever for up-and-down adjustment until the seat reaches the desired height, then release it. The other lever can be used to adjust the seat's left-to-right position.
  • Two Handles Under the Chair: When there are two handles under the chair, one handle adjusts the chair height, and the other adjusts the backrest angle. First, try operating them to determine which handle adjusts the height, and then follow the corresponding method for adjustment.
