Adjustable Leveling of Office Chairs
Office chairs can achieve leveling functionality through various methods.

Button Adjustment: Some office chairs are equipped with specific buttons for controlling leveling. When the button is pushed inward, the chair is in a locked state, allowing only vertical adjustment of the seat height without the ability to recline. Conversely, pulling the button outward unlocks the chair, enabling users to adjust the seat to their preferred reclining angle. Once adjusted, pushing the button back in locks the seat at that angle, achieving a fixed leveling position.
Backrest Adjustment: Certain office chairs offer a wide range of backrest adjustments, supporting seamless adjustment from 95 degrees to 160 degrees. When reclining is desired, simply extending the footrest activates the 160-degree reclining mode, allowing users to lie down comfortably for rest.
Cable Control Switch and Small Gas Cylinder Adjustment: If the backrest of an office chair cannot be adjusted normally, first check the cable control switch and the small gas cylinder. The cable control switch is a crucial component for controlling the backrest angle. If it does not close properly, it may be due to the cable being loose, broken, or disengaged. If the cable is loose, it can be resolved by adjusting the nut to lengthen the distance; if the cable is broken, a new one needs to be replaced; if it is disengaged, simply reattach the terminal. If the cable control switch is functioning properly, then check the small gas cylinder. Gently press the thin end of the gas cylinder with your hand to feel for air pressure. If there is no air pressure and the cylinder can be easily retracted, it indicates that the gas cylinder is damaged and needs to be replaced with a new one.
Additionally, some office chairs offer other adjustable features to enhance comfort. For example, the Ergohuman E3Air 4th Generation Ergonomic Chair features a T-shaped support system, three-zone floating wing lumbar support, four-dimensional dual-axis neck pillow, 6D mechanical armrests, adjustable seat depth, adaptive gravity-sensing base, and a fully breathable mesh design. Some office chairs also have seat depth adjustment functionality, and the height of the lumbar support can be freely adjusted by turning the black knob on the side of the backrest, supporting a 6-centimeter adjustment range.
