Making Office Chair Leather
The process of making office chair leather mainly includes the following steps:

First, the leather for the parts is cut. Workers place plastic templates for parts such as backrest cushions and armrests on top of the leather and use a utility knife to precisely cut out pieces of black leather according to the template patterns. These pieces of leather will serve as the materials to wrap around the surfaces of the parts. This operation requires a high degree of meticulousness from the workers, as any minor deviation can affect the subsequent assembly effect and overall aesthetics.
Next, pattern-making and cutting of the leather are carried out based on the shape of the foam. After the foam is made, pattern-making and marking work on non-woven fabric are carried out using the foam as a reference. The masters will determine each point position and make paper patterns based on these points. At the same time, a width of about one centimeter is reserved for the seams. After that, the prepared paper patterns are used to cut the leather. After cutting, the leather needs to be carefully sorted and marked for subsequent processing and assembly.
Then, cotton padding and stitching are carried out to enhance comfort and keep the leather surface flat. The masters will add a layer of cotton under the leather surface, and the thickness of the cotton in different parts will vary according to actual needs. After adding the cotton, stitching of the leather surface begins, with a standard seam width of one centimeter. This process places extremely high technical demands on the sewing masters. Once there is a misalignment of the leather, rework and re-stitching are required. After stitching, the masters will also press decorative lines on the leather surface. There are two options for the decorative lines: single lines and double lines. They can also be replaced with press strips according to the requirements of the designers or customers to increase the aesthetics of the chair.
Finally, fixed components are added and an inspection is carried out. When the basic shape of the leather cover is completed, the masters will add snap strips and zippers for fixation to facilitate the subsequent covering work. After these operations are completed, a strict inspection of the leather cover is carried out to ensure that every detail meets the standards. After that, it is handed over to the covering master for the final covering work.
