Major companies are showing a preference for cost-effective domestic office chairs, moving away from blindly believing in high-priced international brands.
Cost-Effective Domestic Products Gain Favor
In recent years, there has been a noticeable shift in the choice of office chairs among major companies. Taking ByteDance as an example, it plans to replace office chairs in batches at its work locations in Beijing and Shanghai from August 2024 to the second quarter of the following year, switching from the Humanscale World, originally retailing at around 8,000 yuan, to the domestically produced Qingxian Smart S1, which is publicly priced at 2,549 yuan. Prior to this, companies such as DJI, Film Storm, and Dedao also purchased office chairs from Qingxian Smart, while DJI had previously purchased the Herman Miller Aeron, retailing at over 10,000 yuan, four years ago. This indicates that cost-effective domestic office chairs are gradually gaining recognition from major companies.
Domestic Office Chairs Boast Technical Advantages
Qingxian Smart, founded in 2023, has a founding team mostly with experience in the robotics industry. Its first dynamic ergonomic chair, the LiberNovo Omni, achieves functions such as lumbar-back adaptation, spinal stretching, and active ventilation through bionic structures, precision linkages, and three-electric technologies. The product received over $10 million in funding and support from 11,620 backers on Kickstarter, exceeding its funding goal by 200 times. Subsequently, it raised 460 million yen on Japan's Makuake, setting a record for the highest crowdfunding amount in the chair category on that platform, fully demonstrating its technical prowess and market acceptance.
Meeting Diverse Needs
In addition to Qingxian Smart, there are other domestic office chairs on the market that are also favored by employees of major companies.
