Lying Flat Office Chair Tutorial

Admin October 11, 2026

The adjustment tutorial for lying-flat office chairs mainly includes three methods: button adjustment, wire-control switch adjustment, and small gas cylinder inspection.

Button Adjustment Method

This is a relatively common and simple adjustment method. Usually, there is an adjustment button on the side or bottom of the office chair. When the button is pushed inwards, the office chair is in a locked state. In this state, only the height of the seat can be adjusted up and down, and the lying-flat function cannot be achieved. If you want to adjust the seat to a reclined lying-flat state, you need to pull the button outwards, at which point the office chair is in an unlocked state. Then, you can adjust the seat to a suitable reclined angle according to your personal preference. After adjusting the angle, push the button inwards again to lock the seat, so that it can be fixed at the selected reclined angle, allowing you to lie flat comfortably for work or rest.

Wire-Control Switch Adjustment Method

First, open the wire-control switch and observe whether it closes automatically. If the wire-control switch does not close, there may be issues such as the wire being loose, broken, or disengaged. If you find that the wire is loose, you can adjust the nut to lengthen the distance of the wire and restore its normal function. If the wire is broken, you need to replace it with a new wire-control switch to ensure normal control of the chair's lying-flat function. If the wire is disengaged, simply re-attach the terminal, and the wire-control switch can resume normal operation, enabling adjustment of the chair's reclined angle.

Small Gas Cylinder Inspection Method

When there is no problem with the wire-control switch, you need to inspect the small gas cylinder. Gently press the thin end of the gas cylinder with your hand to feel for air pressure. If you do not feel any air pressure when pressing and the gas cylinder can be easily retracted, it indicates that the gas cylinder is faulty and needs to be replaced with a new one. Since the small gas cylinder is an important component for controlling the chair's lying-flat function, its normal operation ensures the stability and comfort of the chair when adjusting the reclined angle.
