Leather Office Chair Production
The production process of a leather office chair mainly includes steps such as raw material selection and inspection, leather cutting, foam cushion making, leather and foam stitching, frame making, component assembly, and frame surface treatment and decoration.

Raw Material Selection and Inspection: Leather is a key material, with types including full-grain leather, corrected-grain leather, and composite leather, each having its own advantages and disadvantages. After arriving at the factory, strict quality inspections are required, checking for color uniformity, thickness, softness, surface flaws, and testing physical properties such as tensile strength, abrasion resistance, and scratch resistance. Other materials, such as high-density rebound foam, metal components (five-star bases, gas lifts, etc.), precision gas rods and chassis mechanisms, casters, and plastic covers, also undergo quality testing before being put into storage.
Leather Cutting: Workers lay the leather flat on a table and cut it along thick cardboard templates, avoiding flawed areas. Different-shaped templates are used to cut out leather for different parts to minimize waste. Alternatively, plastic templates for parts like headrests and armrests can be placed on the leather, and a utility knife can be used to cut along the template patterns.
Foam Cushion Making: Cut foam pieces of the same size as the leather. Different types of foam are used for different parts, with tighter foam used for cushions. Another method is to first cut a larger, softer, and fluffier square foam pad, then cut it into connected rectangles, mark on the leather, and stitch it with folds; at the same time, stitch the seat leather and decorations.
Leather and Foam Stitching: Use a sewing machine to stitch the leather and foam together one by one, which requires skill. Alternatively, the cut leather can be glued to a harder foam buffer pad, and a slightly larger foam pad can be cut according to the leather size for further production; or the leather can be divided according to size and stitched with the foam. The foam density in different parts of the chair varies and serves different purposes.
Frame Making: The seat frame is bent from steel pipes using a hydraulic press, with open ends welded and steel bars welded on, S-shaped springs hung, and support bars fixed. The backrest frame is forged and then the rough edges and parts of the steel bars are ground smooth. The armrest connections and backrest are made in a similar way to the seat frame.
Component Assembly: Add wood chip boards to the backrest, wrap them with foam, and then cover with leather pads, and install plastic covers. Lock the swivel plate onto the base, install the hydraulic column, aluminum base, and casters. Assemble components such as adjustable armrests and gas lifts. Insert the headrest and armrests into specific positions.
Frame Surface Treatment and Decoration: Wrap the metal frame surface with foam pads, cover it with the stitched leather, and fix the cover plates and frame with screws for decoration.
