Increase Office Chair Hardness
Increasing the hardness of an office chair can be achieved through different methods depending on the chair type and material.

For pneumatic rod-type lifting chairs: High-end gaming chairs commonly found in internet cafes and offices often include a fine-tuning knob on the chassis. Rotating this knob clockwise can increase the hardness of the seat. This design is primarily to accommodate the needs of people with different body weights. Those with a heavier build can increase the hardness for better support, preventing the chair from sinking too much when seated; while those with a lighter build can adjust it according to their own comfort.
If the chair uses a sponge cushion: The hardness of the sponge is a crucial factor affecting the comfort and support of the seat. You can choose to replace it with a harder sponge, for example, a 45D hardened high-density sponge is harder than a 35D high-density sponge. The 45D sponge offers better resilience and support, making it suitable for situations requiring strong support, such as long hours of office work or prolonged sitting. When replacing the sponge, ensure that the new sponge matches the size of the original cushion and is securely installed.
For metal chairs: First, check for any loose welds at the welding points. If any are found, use electric or gas welding to re-weld and reinforce them, ensuring the chair's structural stability. Next, inspect the nuts and bolts at the connection points for looseness, tightening them one by one if necessary. For bolts at load-bearing points, you can add spring washers to prevent them from loosening again during use. Additionally, if a steel-tube chair is bent or deformed, it will affect the chair's hardness and stability. You can restore its sturdiness by straightening or replacing the deformed tube. When straightening, use professional tools to ensure the tube regains its original shape and strength; if the deformation is too severe to be corrected, replace it with a new tube in a timely manner.
