Folding Office Chair Packaging

Admin October 11, 2026

Common packaging methods for folding office chairs include bag packaging, box packaging, pallet packaging, and simple packing methods.

Bag packaging is a relatively common and cost-effective method, typically using plastic or paper bags. This packaging method is suitable for direct sales to consumers by distributors or retailers. It is relatively inexpensive and convenient for carrying and storage. For example, the special storage bag for Kermit chairs is a type of bag packaging, suitable for portable packaging of outdoor folding chairs and camping chairs, with prices ranging from about 7 to 15 yuan. The advantages of bag packaging lie in its low cost and high flexibility, but its drawback is relatively weak protection, making it prone to damage from squeezing or collisions during transportation.

Box packaging generally uses cardboard or acrylic boxes, suitable for sales to consumers in shopping malls or department stores. Compared to bag packaging, box packaging is slightly more expensive, but its advantage is that it is sturdier and provides better protection for folding office chairs, preventing damage during transportation and display. Additionally, box packaging makes it easier to showcase products and attract consumers' attention.

Pallet packaging involves binding folding chairs with steel wires and placing them on wooden pallets. This packaging method facilitates stacking and logistics transportation, suitable for procurement by large supermarkets or commercial enterprises. Through pallet packaging, transportation space can be utilized more efficiently, reducing transportation costs, and making loading and unloading more convenient and quick. However, pallet packaging requires a certain amount of storage space, which may not be suitable for small-scale distributors or retailers.

Simple packing methods are mainly suitable for self-packing situations. Chair stools can be disassembled and then wrapped and secured with stretch film. For example, for folding chairs, the joints can be folded directly and wrapped with tape to prevent them from springing open; start spiraling the stretch film upwards from the bottom of the chair legs, focusing on wrapping the pneumatic rod parts, etc. This packing method is simple and easy to implement, with low cost, but requires certain hands-on skills and techniques to ensure the firmness and stability of the packing.
