Cleaning Canvas Office Chair
You can refer to the following methods for cleaning canvas office chairs and choose the appropriate solution based on different conditions:

Regular Cleaning Without Professional Equipment
If you don't have equipment such as a vacuum cleaner or a high-temperature cleaning machine, you can first use a feather duster or a soft-bristled brush to perform initial dust removal on the entire chair to get rid of surface dust. Then, prepare a basin of clean water, add a small amount of neutral detergent (such as dishwashing liquid or a special fabric cleaner), stir well, soak a cloth in it, and wring it out until it is semi-dry to prevent excessive moisture from deforming the canvas. Wipe the chair 2-3 times along the grain direction of the chair with the cloth, focusing on cleaning areas that are prone to dust accumulation such as the armrests and the backrest. For stubborn stains, you can switch to a soft brush (such as an old toothbrush), dip it in the diluted detergent, and gently scrub. Be sure to apply even pressure to avoid damaging the fibers. After cleaning, place the chair in a well-ventilated area to dry naturally. If you need to speed up the drying process, you can use the cold air setting of a hairdryer to blow from a distance. Never use hot air or concentrate on blowing the same area for a long time to prevent the canvas from shrinking or fading.
Deep Cleaning with a Vacuum Cleaner
If you have a vacuum cleaner, first use the soft-bristled brush attachment of the vacuum cleaner to thoroughly vacuum the chair, paying special attention to cleaning the dust in the crevices and folds. Then, dilute the neutral detergent at a ratio of 1:20 and pour it into a spray bottle. Spray it evenly on the surface of the chair to ensure that the stained areas are fully covered. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the detergent to fully penetrate and break down the stains. If possible, you can use a high-temperature steam cleaner to extract and clean the chair. The high temperature can effectively kill bacteria and remove deep-seated dirt. If you don't have this equipment, you can wipe the chair again with a damp cloth that has been wrung out and gently scrub the stubborn stains with a soft-bristled brush. Finally, use a dry towel to absorb the remaining moisture, or use a dryer on a low-temperature setting (the temperature should not exceed 60ยฐC) to avoid damaging the canvas material with high heat.
Targeted Stain Removal
For local stains (such as coffee stains or oil stains), first use a small brush or a cotton swab to dip a small amount of clean water and gently brush the surface to remove the loose dust. Then, spray a special fabric cleaner (such as a foam or spray type) on the stained area and let it sit for 3-5 minutes to allow the cleaner to fully break down the stains. Wipe the stains in a circular motion with cleaning gloves or a soft cloth, and use a damp towel to wipe away the excess foam in a timely manner during the process to avoid detergent residue. If the stains are not completely removed, you can repeat the above steps 2-3 times. After cleaning, when the chair is completely dry, spray a fabric protector on it to form a protective film to extend its service life and make subsequent cleaning easier.
Precautions: Before cleaning, conduct a small-scale test in a concealed area of the chair (such as the bottom of the chair) to confirm that the detergent will not cause fading or deformation. Avoid using strong acids, strong alkalis, or bleaches to prevent the canvas from aging. Regular cleaning (it is recommended to clean every 3-6 months) can keep the chair clean and extend its service life.
