Classroom Office Chair Wheels
Classroom office chair wheels come in various types, prices, and replacement and adjustment methods.

I. Common Types and Prices Classroom office chair wheels are diverse in type, with prices varying according to specifications and functions. Common types include:
- 1.4-inch load-bearing caster with snap-ring threaded universal wheel: With a diameter of approximately 3.56 centimeters, it features a snap-ring threaded design and is suitable for scenarios requiring basic load-bearing capacity, priced at around ยฅ1.36.
- 1.5-inch wear-resistant caster universal wheel: With a diameter of approximately 3.81 centimeters, it emphasizes wear resistance and is suitable for high-frequency movement scenarios, priced at around ยฅ3.8.
- 2-inch insert-rod flat caster wheel: With a diameter of approximately 5.08 centimeters, it is installed with an insert rod and is compatible with flat chair feet, priced at around ยฅ3.1.
- 2-inch universal wheel office chair caster: With a diameter of approximately 5.08 centimeters, it is a general-purpose universal wheel, priced at around ยฅ1.45.
II. Replacement Methods Wheel replacement should be carried out according to the installation type:
- Screw type: Use a wrench or adjustable wrench to turn the screw of the old wheel counterclockwise to remove it. Align the new wheel with the threaded hole on the chair foot and turn it clockwise to tighten.
- Insert-rod type: Pull out the old wheel vertically upward with your hands directly. If there is significant resistance, insert a flat-head screwdriver into the gap between the wheel and the chair foot to pry it slightly, or use pliers to grip the bottom of the rod and tap it lightly with a hammer to assist in pulling it out. When installing the new wheel, align it with the hole and press it vertically until it is fully embedded.
III. Anti-slip and Fixed Adjustment If the wheels slide excessively or the chair needs to be fixed, adjustments can be made in the following ways:
- Wheels with locking function: Choose a brake wheel with a diameter of 60 millimeters (approximately 2.36 inches). To lock it, pull the brake pad downward until it touches the ground. To unlock it, pull it upward.
- Gravity wheels: When subjected to gravity, the internal structure of these wheels increases lateral resistance, making movement more stable and with less noise. They are suitable for scenarios where the sliding speed needs to be controlled.
- Fixed foot pads: After removing the original wheels, insert the matching fixed foot pads into the holes on the chair feet to keep the chair completely stationary, suitable for fixed workstations that do not require movement.
Precautions: Before replacing the wheels, confirm that the chair foot model matches the wheel specifications. Avoid applying excessive force during operation to prevent damage to the chair feet. Wheels with locking functions should have their brake pad wear checked regularly.
