Yihang x xTool: Starting from X to Unlock New Possibilities at Work
A laser engraver can turn imagination into reality; a great office can keep great ideas coming. As a world-renowned brand in laser fabrication and creative tools, xTool has always been committed to lowering the barrier to creation, helping more people bring their ideas to life.
For a tech company that constantly pushes the boundaries of innovation, the office itself should carry that same exploratory spirit. Taking xTool’s philosophy of “explore, connect, create” as its starting point, Yihang wove the “X” — the brand’s core symbol — into the space design, creating an innovation headquarters that connects people to people and ideas to the future.

Working the brand philosophy into every corner of the office
xTool’s founding intent is to let more people enjoy the fun of making; Yihang’s job was to let that creativity emerge naturally inside the company. Throughout the design, Yihang started from xTool’s brand character — exploring the unknown, innovating continuously — and folded brand elements into the details of the space, so that the office looks and feels closer to the company’s identity.

For the color palette, Yihang chose gray-white and natural wood as the overall base, creating a clean, rational, tech-driven atmosphere; accents of vibrant yellow-orange and blue-green add youthfulness and creative energy. The interplay of colors balances a sense of technology with warmth, expressing xTool’s open, exploratory brand temperament.

Beyond the work areas, Yihang also created more sociable casual spaces. Comfortable furniture and an open layout give employees places to connect outside of work, where different ideas collide naturally in a relaxed setting.

From focused work to free exchange, space is no longer just a container for the office — it becomes a key setting for sparking inspiration and connecting people.
Starting from “X”: building work settings that are practical and comfortable
In xTool’s world, “X” stands for the unknown and infinite possibility. Yihang used “X” as its design thread, working the symbol into the spatial layout and details so the brand’s imprint extends naturally into the office environment.

From space planning to furniture selection, Yihang shaped the office around the diverse working styles of a tech company, weaving in scenarios for focused work, team collaboration, business meetings, and casual socializing, so the space adapts as working states change.
