Yibufan Office Chair Installation

Admin October 09, 2026

The installation of Yibufan office chairs can refer to the general installation process of office chairs. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Component Identification

Office chairs typically consist of components such as chair legs, casters (wheels), gas lift cylinders, bases, seats, backrests, armrests, and headrests. Different models may vary in the number or structure of components, but the core parts are generally the same. Before installation, check that all components are present and inspect for any obvious damage or defects.

2. Installation Steps

  1. Connecting Casters to Chair Legs
Insert each caster into the five leg holes of the chair legs (some models may require screwing in). Ensure that the casters are aligned in the same direction when inserting. Some designs may require pressing firmly until fully engaged. If the casters are not tightly connected to the chair legs, the chair may wobble when moving.

  2. Installing the Gas Lift Cylinder
Place the gas lift cylinder vertically into the center hole of the chair legs. Before installation, remove the gas lift cap (if there is a three-section protective sleeve, put it on first). The gas lift cylinder is the core component for adjusting the chair's height. Keep it vertical during installation to avoid damaging the cylinder or making the chair unstable due to tilting.

  3. Securing the Base to the Seat
Use a screwdriver to fix the base to the bottom of the seat. Pay attention to the orientation of the base (usually there are markings or grooves for alignment) and tighten all screws. The base is the key component connecting the seat to the gas lift cylinder. If not installed firmly, the seat may become loose or tilt.

  4. Assembling the Chair Body
Connect the backrest to the seat with screws. Do not fully tighten the screws initially to allow for subsequent adjustment of the backrest angle or height. Some models may connect the backrest to the seat with snaps or sliding rails, so follow the instructions in the manual.

  5. Overall Assembly
Vertically insert the seat (with the base) into the gas lift cylinder and ensure it is fully engaged. Then install the armrests (some models may require adjusting the height or angle of the armrests first) and finally the headrest (if applicable). When installing the armrests, align their directions to avoid affecting comfort during use.

  6. Final Adjustments
Tighten all screws, install the armrest decorative caps (if applicable), and check the stability of all components. Gently shake the chair to confirm there is no looseness or abnormal noise. Adjust the height of the gas lift cylinder, the angle of the backrest, etc., to meet usage requirements.

3. Precautions

  • Installation Order: It is recommended to install from the bottom up (casters โ†’ chair legs โ†’ gas lift cylinder โ†’ seat โ†’ backrest โ†’ armrests) to avoid repeated disassembly or adjustment.
  • Operation Details: Avoid scratching the surface of the seat and align the direction of the armrests. If the gas lift cylinder is tightly stuck to the chair legs, try shaking or using a rubber mallet to assist in separation (pay attention to safety during disassembly).
  • Precise Guidance: If the general method is not applicable, it is recommended to contact the Yibufan brand customer service or refer to the product manual for model-specific installation instructions.
