Xiaobu Office Chair Installation

Admin October 12, 2026

The installation of the Xiaobu office chair can be carried out according to the following steps:

I. Pre-installation Preparation

  1. Tool Organization: Gather all necessary tools, including a Phillips screwdriver, adjustable wrench (a hex wrench may be required for some models), rubber mallet, and scissors.
  2. Component Verification: Check that all components are present and undamaged, including the chair base, gas lift, seat, backrest, armrests, headrest (if applicable), screw pack, and instruction manual. If any components are missing or damaged, contact customer service immediately and do not attempt to substitute parts yourself.

II. Step-by-Step Installation Process

  1. Chair Base and Gas Lift Installation
    • Place the chair base flat on the ground with the center hole facing up. Insert the gas lift vertically and press down gently until it is fully seated, ensuring the dust cover at the bottom of the gas lift is correctly oriented.
  2. Seat Attachment
    • Align the mounting holes on the bottom of the seat with the top of the gas lift. Press down slowly until you hear a โ€œclickโ€ sound; if the chair has an adjustable tilt feature, install the tilt control handle simultaneously.
  3. Backrest and Armrest Connection
    • Backrest: For pre-assembled models, adjust the angle to vertical; for separate models, use screws to secure the backrest to the metal bracket at the rear of the seat.
    • Armrests: Align the screw holes on both sides of the seat with the armrests and tighten with the provided screws, ensuring left-right symmetry.
  4. Additional Component Installation
    • Headrest: Insert the rod into the้ข„็•™ (pre-drilled) hole at the top of the backrest and rotate to the desired height (typically level with the earlobes).
    • Lumbar Support: Attach to the middle of the backrest using Velcro or snaps.
    • Casters: Forcefully press the wheels into the holes at the ends of the chair base until you hear a โ€œclickโ€ sound, indicating they are securely installed.

III. Post-installation Inspection and Adjustment

  1. Key Inspection Items
    • Structural Stability: Shake the chair to test for loose connections.
    • Functional Normality: Check that the height adjustment, tilt, and rotation functions operate smoothly.
    • Safety Details: Confirm that no screws are exposed and that the wheels are firmly attached.
  2. Personalized Adjustment
    • Adjust the tilt tension of the backrest (using the knob under the seat), set the headrest height, and fix the armrest width (aligning with the natural drop position of the elbows).
    • Regular Maintenance: It is recommended to check the tightness of the screws monthly to extend the service life.

Precautions: Ensure all components are tightly connected during installation to avoid safety hazards caused by looseness. If you have any questions about the steps, refer to the instruction manual or contact customer service for guidance.
