Wooden Office Chair Installation

Admin October 09, 2026

The installation steps for wooden office chairs vary depending on the model. Here are the installation points for common types:

1. Installation Steps for Thickened-Panel Solid Wood Chairs

  • Check Components: After receiving the goods, first check the component list to ensure it includes two armrests, an Allen wrench, nuts, a seat cushion, a backrest, and other basic parts. If any parts are missing, contact the merchant promptly for replacements.
  • Assemble Armrests: When connecting the armrests to the chair body, pay attention to the alignment of the large and small holes. Typically, the large holes are used to secure the main structure, while the small holes are for adjustments or auxiliary securing. Use the Allen wrench to tighten the nuts, ensuring the armrests are stable and do not wobble.
  • Install Seat Cushion and Backrest: Depending on the chair body design, secure the seat cushion and backrest with screws or clips. Some models require installing the backrest first, then the seat cushion, following the instructions in the order provided.
  • Final Inspection: After installation, shake the chair to test its stability, ensuring all screws are tightened and there is no looseness or unusual noise.

2. Installation Steps for SXSF Solid Wood Ox-Horn Chairs

  • Distinguish Chair Leg Directions: The left and right fixing holes for the chair legs are located on the inner side. Avoid installing them backward, as this may cause the chair to be unstable or unable to be assembled properly.
  • Use Provided Tools: This model usually comes with dedicated tools (such as an internal Allen wrench). Use the matching tools to avoid slipping or damaging the parts due to incompatible tools.
  • Secure Chair Body Structure: Connect the chair legs to the seat with screws, ensuring the holes are aligned. Some models require installing horizontal support bars first to enhance overall stability.
  • Test Load-Bearing Capacity: After installation, gently press on the seat to test its load-bearing capacity, ensuring the chair legs are firmly connected to the seat and there is no risk of cracking.

3. Installation Steps for 205/206 Office Chairs

  • Install Casters and Gas Lift: Insert the five casters into the five-star base one by one, ensuring the clips are in place. The gas lift should be inserted vertically into the center hole of the five-star base to avoid tilting, which could cause the height adjustment function to fail.
  • Connect Armrests and Backrest: Use screws to secure the armrests to the backrest. Some models require installing a tray (for adjusting the backrest angle) first, then connecting the upper and lower parts of the armrests.
  • Add Washers and Decorative Covers: Place washers over the screw connections to prevent wear on the chair body surface. Finally, install decorative covers to conceal the screw holes and enhance aesthetics.
  • Install Headrest (if applicable): If the chair comes with a headrest, insert it into the reserved hole at the top of the backrest and secure it with screws or clips.

General Precautions:

  • Read the instructions carefully before installation, as different models may have subtle differences.
  • Apply moderate force when tightening screws to avoid over-tightening, which could cause slipping or part cracking.
  • If you encounter misaligned clips or misaligned screw holes during installation, stop and check the orientation of the parts. Forcing installation may damage the chair.
