Supervisor Office Chair Maintenance

Admin October 13, 2026

The maintenance of supervisor office chairs should be systematically carried out from five aspects: daily cleaning, component maintenance, environmental control, healthy usage, and long-term maintenance. The specific methods are as follows:

I. Daily cleaning should be carried out according to the material
For fabric/mesh chair surfaces, use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust weekly. For stubborn stains, gently scrub with a neutral cleaner and a soft-bristled brush, then wipe with clean water and let it air dry naturally. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fiber embrittlement. For leather chair surfaces, wipe away dust with a dry, soft cloth. For stains, spray a specialized leather cleaner onto a dry cloth and gently wipe. Wipe away any residual cleaner with a damp cloth and then dry with a dry cloth. Regularly use leather conditioner to prevent cracking. For solid wood chair legs, wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid humid environments to prevent cracking and deformation. For metal chair frames, regularly wipe with a dry cloth. For stubborn stains, spray a small amount of Pledge and wipe with a flannel cloth. Do not use corrosive cleaners to prevent oxidation. Before cleaning, remove dust first. Test the cleaner in a hidden area before use. Keep the cleaning cloth semi-dry to prevent wood swelling, metal rusting, or fabric mildew.

II. Component maintenance should be targeted
Choose chair wheels according to the floor material: nylon hard wheels are suitable for carpets, and PU soft wheels are suitable for hard floors. Regularly clean the fluff and fibers from the wheel axles and spray with an antistatic agent. If the reclining function makes abnormal noises, spray lubricant on the axle joints or springs. Adjust the reclining tension knob according to body weight to avoid the risk of tipping over. Regularly check all connections for loose screws. Tighten them promptly to ensure structural stability.

III. Environmental control should balance temperature, humidity, and light
Keep the indoor humidity between 40% and 60%. Avoid leather cracking, fabric mildew, or metal rusting. Avoid direct sunlight. Prevent leather fading or fabric aging.

IV. Healthy usage requires proper sitting posture and activities
Ensure that both feet are flat on the ground when sitting, with the thighs and calves forming an obtuse angle of 95-100 degrees. The top of the monitor should be parallel to the line of sight, and the armrests should support the elbows. Perform stretching activities every 30-40 minutes, such as hip joint stretching, back rotation relaxation, and shoulder-opening exercises, to promote blood circulation.

V. Long-term maintenance should reduce damage from idleness
When not in use for a long time, cover with a dust cover. Reduce dust accumulation. Regularly conduct a comprehensive inspection and promptly address issues such as gas rods and leather. Extend the service life.
