Staff Office Chair Leather

Admin October 09, 2026

Staff office chairs mainly offer options such as genuine leather and artificial leather (PU leather).

Genuine Leather Materials:
Some office chairs are made of genuine leather, which has unique advantages. For example, the purpleleaf Robin Chair is a genuine leather computer chair. The genuine leather material gives the chair a natural texture and good breathability, allowing users to feel more comfortable when their skin is in contact with the seat surface during long hours of office work, reducing the feeling of stuffiness. Many executive chairs also use genuine leather, such as executive genuine leather captain chairs and executive genuine leather high-end business computer chairs. Among them, the Xichang L6 Executive Chair is covered with top-grain genuine leather. Top-grain genuine leather is the top layer of cowhide, retaining its natural texture and good physical properties. It has a delicate touch and excellent breathability, not only enhancing the chair's aesthetics but also ensuring comfort during long periods of sitting for office work. However, genuine leather office chairs are relatively expensive because genuine leather itself has a high cost, and the manufacturing process is relatively complex, requiring multiple processes to ensure its durability and aesthetics. At the same time, genuine leather requires regular maintenance to avoid exposure to sunlight and contact with sharp objects; otherwise, it is prone to scratches, fading, and other issues that affect its service life and appearance.

Artificial Leather (PU Leather) Materials:
Many office chairs also use artificial leather (PU leather) and other leather materials. PU leather is a synthetic material that can imitate the appearance and texture of genuine leather to a certain extent, giving it a certain degree of aesthetics. Compared with genuine leather, PU leather is more affordable, making it a good choice for consumers with limited budgets. Moreover, the maintenance of PU leather is relatively simple and does not require the complex care that genuine leather does. Daily cleaning only requires wiping with a damp cloth. However, the breathability of PU leather is not as good as that of genuine leather. Long-term use may make users feel stuffy, especially in summer or during long periods of sitting. In addition, the durability of PU leather is slightly inferior to that of genuine leather, and it is prone to wear and peeling, affecting the service life of the chair.
