Simon Office Chair Installation

Admin October 19, 2026

Currently, there is no detailed installation tutorial specifically for Simon office chairs, but you can refer to the general installation process of regular office chairs and combine it with the characteristics of Simon office chairs for installation. Here are the specific steps:

Step 1: Install the Chair Base and Gas Lift
The installation of a regular office chair usually starts from the bottom. First, install the casters one by one onto the chair base, ensuring that each caster is firmly connected to the base to avoid looseness. After installation, place the gas lift vertically into the center of the chair base. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the chair's height, so it must be installed vertically and fit snugly with the base. The Simon M56 second-generation ergonomic office chair features an M56Y-type thickened bracket design, providing strong stability for the base. During installation, pay attention to aligning the gas lift with the center of the base to prevent misalignment that could lead to instability during subsequent use.

Step 2: Secure the Seat Plate to the Seat
Attach the seat plate to the bottom of the seat using screws. The seat plate is a key component connecting the seat to the gas lift, so ensure that the screws are tightened to avoid looseness. The seat of Simon office chairs adopts a w-shaped surface design that mimics the contours of the human buttocks, ensuring reasonable pressure distribution on the cushion. During installation, pay attention to the compatibility between the seat plate and the seat to prevent cushion deformation or uneven pressure distribution due to improper installation.

Step 3: Connect the Backrest to the Seat
After the seat is installed, connect the backrest to the seat. The Simon M56 second-generation chair uses a continuous backrest design, so ensure that the connection between the backrest and the seat is firm to avoid wobbling during use. The backrest has a flexible height adjustment function to accurately support the lower back. During installation, pay attention to the initial position of the adjustment mechanism to ensure smooth height adjustment of the backrest during subsequent use. Additionally, the mesh-and-cotton adjustable lumbar pillow should be installed in the designated position, adjustable up and down to match the comfortable lumbar support height. Ensure that the lumbar pillow moves smoothly without any jamming during installation.

Step 4: Assemble the Upper Part of the Chair with the Gas Lift
Vertically insert the assembled upper part of the chair (seat and backrest) into the upper end of the gas lift. Ensure that the insertion depth is sufficient to prevent the chair from separating from the gas lift during use. The force distribution design of Simon office chairs relies on the firm connection between the gas lift and the base, so repeatedly check the tightness of the connection in this step.

Step 5: Install the Armrests and Headrest
Finally, install the armrests and headrest in the designated positions. Adjust the height or angle of the armrests according to usage habits (if adjustable), and ensure that the headrest is firmly connected to the backrest to prevent it from falling off. The stable support design of Simon office chairs should be thoroughly verified in this step to ensure that there is no looseness in the armrests and headrest after installation.
