Rolling Office Chair Installation
The installation steps for a rolling office chair are as follows:

Step 1: Install the Five-Star Base and Casters Insert the five casters one by one into the corresponding holes of the five-claw (five-star) base. Press slightly with force when inserting. Some casters may need to be screwed in by rotating. Ensure that all casters are installed firmly to avoid looseness.
Step 2: Install the Gas Lift Turn the five-star base upside down to expose the bottom and locate the central hole. Remove the protective cap from the top of the gas lift and insert the gas lift vertically into the central hole, ensuring that the gas lift fits snugly against the five-star base. The gas lift is the core component that supports the seat's up-and-down movement, so confirm that it is installed in the correct direction.
Step 3: Install the Seat Base Place the seat cushion flat on a clean floor, paying attention to distinguishing the front and back directions of the cushion. Align the seat base with the mounting position on the bottom of the cushion and secure it with the provided screws. Tighten the screws evenly during installation to prevent the seat base from tilting or becoming loose, which could affect the stability of subsequent connections.
Step 4: Connect the Seat Cushion to the Gas Lift After the seat base is fixed, lift the entire seat cushion and align it with the top of the gas lift to insert it into the hole on the seat base. Keep it vertical when inserting to avoid bending or damaging the gas lift. After insertion, gently press down on the seat cushion to confirm that the gas lift is securely connected to the seat base.
Step 5: Install the Armrests Distinguish the left and right directions according to the armrest design and align the armrests with the mounting holes on both sides of the seat cushion. For some armrests, tighten the screws in stages: first, preliminarily fix the bottom screws, leaving some room for movement to facilitate subsequent adjustment of the backrest position. Pay attention to whether the height and angle of the armrests conform to ergonomic principles during installation.
Step 6: Install the Backrest
- Method 1: Align the backrest with the back of the seat cushion. First, connect the bottom of the backrest to the holes on the armrests and install the screws but do not tighten them yet. After lifting the backrest, install the top fixing screws and then tighten all the screws uniformly.
- Method 2: If the backrest requires a separate bracket to be installed, first fix the bracket to the seat cushion, then install the backrest mesh fabric, and secure it with screws from the back to ensure that the fabric is flat and wrinkle-free.
Step 7: Install Other Components
- Tray: Secure the tray to the designated position with four M6*20mm screws.
- Armrest Decorations: Install the upper and lower parts of the armrests with two M6*20mm screws and washers, and cover with decorative caps.
- Headrest: Install the headrest with two M6*30mm screws and adjust it to a comfortable height.
- Final Inspection: After tightening all the screws, install the armrest decorative buckles, black decorative buttons, and the diamond-shaped decorative panel on the back of the backrest (some models require snap-on fixation).
Precautions:
- Check the parts list before installation to avoid missing screws or tools.
- Use tools of the corresponding specifications when tightening screws to avoid stripping.
- After installation, test the seat's up-and-down movement, rotation, and backrest adjustment functions to ensure there are no abnormal noises or jams.
