Panel Office Chair Installation

Admin October 10, 2026

The installation steps for a panel office chair are as follows:

I. Basic Installation Preparation and Caster Installation

  1. Component Preparation: Before installation, check all components, including wheels, five-star base, seat pan, screws (short, medium, and long), nuts, backrest rod, armrests, etc. If the chair has a footrest or massage function, prepare special components such as footrest rods, footrest pads, and power cords.
  2. Caster and Five-Star Base Connection: Insert the wheels vertically into the slots of the five-star base, ensuring each wheel is properly installed and can rotate 360 degrees horizontally. Some designs use a snap-fit structure, requiring firm pressing until a 'click' sound is heard.

II. Core Component Assembly

  1. Seat Pan and Seat Fixation: Align the seat pan with the pre-drilled holes on the bottom of the seat. Insert four short screws from underneath the seat through the holes in the seat pan and tighten them to ensure the seat pan is stable and does not wobble.
  2. Backrest Rod Installation: Place the groove of the backrest rod facing upwards and fix it to the pre-drilled holes at the back of the seat pan using medium screws. Pay attention to the perpendicularity between the backrest rod and the seat.
  3. Gas Lift and Five-Star Base Connection: Insert the gas lift into the center hole of the five-star base, ensuring the rod is vertical and the bottom is fully embedded. Some designs require applying a small amount of lubricant to the top of the gas lift to reduce friction.

III. Functional Module Integration

  1. Seat Pan and Gas Lift Combination: Invert the seat part with the installed seat pan and insert the top of the gas lift into the center hole of the seat pan. Gently rotate until the snap-fit locks.
  2. Final Backrest Fixation: Insert the backrest rod into the pre-drilled holes on the side of the seat pan and tighten it with nuts to ensure the angle between the backrest and the seat conforms to ergonomic design.
  3. Armrest Installation: Use long screws to fix the left and right armrests to the pre-drilled holes on both sides of the seat, paying attention to distinguishing between left and right (usually marked on the inside of the armrests) to avoid incorrect installation that may cause inconvenience in use.

IV. Special Function Configuration (Optional)

  1. Footrest Function: Fix the footrest rod and footrest pad with screws and insert them into the footrest frame at the front of the seat. Use two small screws to block the small hole at the end of the footrest rod to prevent the footrest from falling off when excessive force is applied.
  2. Massage Function: For the 9-point massage model, insert the power cord into the interface at the bottom of the seat and connect it to a power outlet. Test whether the massage function starts normally.

V. Final Inspection

  1. Screw Tightening: Check that all screws are tightened, especially those on load-bearing parts such as the backrest and armrests, to avoid safety hazards caused by looseness.
  2. Function Testing: Adjust the seat height and backrest angle, and test whether the gas lift, casters, and massage function (if any) are working properly, ensuring there is no jamming or abnormal noise.
