Office Chair Yoga Moves
Here are some yoga moves that can be performed using an office chair in the office, helping to relieve physical fatigue and relax muscles:

Move 1: Backward Stretch
Sit facing forward on the chair, lean your back slightly backward, and wrap your hands around the back of your head. As you inhale, open your hands, move them backward and upward, look toward the ceiling, and open your elbows to the sides. As you exhale, tuck your chin in, bring your elbows inward, and look down at your lower abdomen. This move stretches the muscles on the front of your neck and shoulders, relieving neck and shoulder soreness caused by prolongedไฝๅคด (looking down) work.
Move 2: Side Waist Stretch
Turn around to face the back of the chair and sit down with your toes pointing outward. Reach your left hand to the diagonal direction of the right side of the chair back and raise your right arm high. As you exhale, lean your body to the left. If your neck is uncomfortable, turn your head downward to the right. Use the muscles on one side of your waist to bring your body back, and then repeat on the other side. This move effectively stretches the side waist muscles and enhances waist flexibility.
Move 3: Spinal Twist
Sit on the side of the chair, turn your body toward the back of the chair, and grab both ends of the chair back with your hands. As you inhale, extend your spine upward. As you exhale, twist your chest to the left and backward, pull back with your right hand, and push outward with your left hand, keeping your spine lifted and your chest open, with your knees facing forward. This move helps to relax the spine and relieve back tension.
Move 4: Comprehensive Stretch
Sit at about one-third of the chair's length, use your hands to move your gluteal muscles, press your sit bones downward, extend your spine upward with the crown of your head, and push your groin backward. As you inhale, fill the back of your chest and lean your head backward. As you exhale, relax your shoulders, sink your shoulder blades, interlace your fingers and place them behind your head, inhale and slightly tuck your chin in, maintain the mutual resistance between the back of your head and your palms, and feel the stretch on the front of your body. Then inhale to bring your head back to the center, extend your arms upward, push your palms upward, exhale to lower your head, arch your back, and push your spine backward and upward, look up at the back of your hands, and perform this dynamic exercise three times. There are also variations of this move with different breathing patterns later. This series of moves comprehensively stretches the muscles on the front and back of your body.
Move 5: Neck Stretch
Raise your left arm, reach your left hand toward your right ear, grab the right side of the chair with your right hand, and as you exhale, bring your left ear toward your left shoulder, sink your right shoulder, and bring your chin toward your left shoulder. Practice the opposite side by raising your right arm, reaching your right hand toward your left ear, and as you exhale, bringing your right ear toward your right shoulder to deepen the stretch on the back of your neck. Circle your shoulders backward three times to relax your shoulder and back muscles. This move effectively relieves neck muscle tension and helps prevent cervical spondylosis.
