Office Chair Tray Installation

Admin October 11, 2026

The installation steps for office chair trays vary depending on the specific model. Here are the installation methods for common models:

P600 Computer Chair

  1. Component Positioning: Align the tray with the seat cushion, ensuring the front end of the tray (the side with the longer hole spacing) faces forward, and the lifting handle is on the right side (the right hand side when seated).
  2. Securing Screws: Use four short screws (specification 6ร—20) to pass through the corresponding holes on the tray and seat cushion. Tighten the screws sequentially with a wrench to ensure a tight and secure connection.
  3. Inspection and Adjustment: After installation, gently shake the tray to confirm it is firmly fixed and test the functionality of the lifting handle.

  1. Prerequisite: Complete the installation of the five-star base and gas lift first, ensuring the gas lift is vertically fixed at the center of the five-star base.
  2. Inserting Gas Lift: Align the top of the gas lift with the circular hole at the bottom of the tray and insert it vertically down to the bottom, ensuring the gas lift is fully seated against the tray.
  3. Function Testing: After installation, check if the tray can move up and down normally with the gas lift and confirm there is no wobbling or abnormal noise.

  1. Securing Tray and Seat Cushion: Align the holes on the tray and seat cushion, fix them with four short screws, and tighten them with a wrench. Ensure the front end of the tray faces forward and the lifting handle is on the right side.
  2. Installing Gas Lift: Insert the gas lift into the circular hole at the bottom of the tray, ensuring sufficient insertion depth and a secure connection.
  3. Overall Debugging: Test the lifting and rotating functions of the seat to confirm there is no looseness in the connections between the tray, gas lift, and seat cushion.

General Precautions

  • Hole Alignment: The front end of the tray (the side with the longer hole spacing) is typically the front of the seat and should match the markings on the seat cushion or the illustrations in the manual.
  • Handle Direction: The lifting handle should be on the right side when seated. Confirm the direction before installation to avoid rework.
  • Tightening Inspection: All screws should be tightened with a wrench, and the gas lift should be gently shaken after insertion to confirm there is no gap, preventing safety hazards caused by looseness during use.
  • Model Matching: Different models of trays may have variations in design (such as screw specifications and gas lift interface shapes). Always refer to the manual or installation video for the specific model to avoid misinstallation and damage to components.
