Office Chair
Office chairs are chairs equipped for the convenience of work in daily work and social activities. There are various types with different installation methods, and some safety issues also need attention.

Definition and Classification of Office Chairs
The English term for office chair is 'office chair'. OfficeMate classifies office chairs into two categories: narrow and broad. A narrow office chair refers to a backrest chair used when a person is sitting at a desk for work. This type of chair mainly meets the basic sitting needs during daily office work and provides a certain degree of support and comfort for the user. A broad office chair encompasses all chairs used in offices, including executive chairs and staff chairs. Executive chairs are typically used in the offices of senior management personnel. Their design places greater emphasis on luxury and comfort, and they are larger in size. Staff chairs are used by ordinary employees for daily office work and focus more on practicality and cost-effectiveness.
Installation Methods for Different Models of Office Chairs
The installation methods for different models of office chairs vary. Taking the 1033A office chair as an example, when installing it, you first need to prepare the relevant materials. Then, follow the video instructions, place screw J into the washer, insert it into the corresponding position, and use screw L to secure it. For installing the armrests, screw K is required. The installation steps for the 2022A office chair are different. First, install the base casters. Then, use screw J and K along with washer L to install the chassis. When installing the armrests, use screws and a screw sleeve, and finally place it on the base. This indicates that when installing office chairs, you must strictly follow the installation instructions for the specific model. Otherwise, it may result in an insecure installation or the chair being unable to function properly.
Safety Issues of Office Chairs
Some safety issues of office chairs cannot be ignored. On March 2, 2023, the United States and Canada initiated a recall of office chairs made in China due to the risk of the backrest breaking, which posed a falling hazard. At that time, 12 reports had been received, including 10 injury reports. On September 30, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation conducted a national supervision and inspection of office chairs and found that 15 batches of products were unqualified, with stability issues being particularly prominent. On January 16, 2025, the United States initiated a recall of WorkPro Momentum office chairs made in China because the bolts might fail, posing a falling hazard. Seven reports had been received, with two people suffering minor injuries. These recall incidents remind consumers to pay attention to the quality and safety of products when purchasing and using office chairs and to choose products with quality assurance from regular channels.
