Office Chair Transformed into Staircase
Currently, there is no mature commercial design specifically for transforming office chairs into staircases, but the transformation design concepts of some chairs can provide ideas for this purpose. Here are some relevant design concepts and principles:

Triangular Wooden Frame Flipping Type
Some cleverly designed chairs use two sets of triangular wooden frames, which are spliced and fixed with folding hinges and screws. When placed normally, these triangular wooden frames combine to form a seat, providing comfortable sitting support for users. When it needs to be transformed into a staircase, through specific flipping operations, the triangular wooden frames are rearranged to form a simple small staircase. This design utilizes the stable structural characteristics of triangles. During the transformation process, the connection and fixation through hinges and screws ensure the stability of the structure. Although it is not currently explicitly stated for use in office scenarios, if office chairs borrow this design, more attention can be paid to durability and comfort in material selection, such as choosing high-strength metal frames paired with soft cushion materials to meet the usage needs in office environments.
Backrest Rotating Type
There is also a chair composed of two movable parts: the backrest and the base, which can rotate along an axis. During normal use, the backrest and the base form a comfortable seat. When it needs to be transformed into a ladder, the backrest is rotated 180 degrees along the axis to achieve a shape transformation. To ensure safety during use, this type of chair has buckles added to its legs to prevent sudden opening during use and avoid accidents. The bottom is designed with foot pads, which can not only prevent floor wear but also increase anti-slip properties. If office chairs adopt this design, further optimization can be made in the design of the buckles and foot pads, such as using more sensitive buckle devices to ensure firm locking during both transformation and use; the foot pads can be made of more wear-resistant and better anti-slip materials to adapt to the characteristics of frequent movement and use in office spaces.
Chair Back Flipping Type
In the classic designs of folding ladder chairs or library chairs, the chair back and the seat cushion are connected by hinges. After flipping the chair back forward by 180 degrees, the original chair back forms the rear support and steps of the ladder, and the chair legs and seat cushion become the front part of the ladder. This design cleverly utilizes various parts of the chair to achieve functional transformation. If office chairs borrow this design, careful design can be carried out in the selection and installation position of the hinges to ensure a smooth flipping process and a stable staircase structure after transformation that can bear a certain weight.
