Office Chair Tilt Adjustment
Adjusting the tilt of an office chair requires taking targeted measures based on the specific cause. Common situations and solutions are as follows:

If the tilt is caused by uneven wheels, it is necessary to systematically inspect the condition of the wheels and replace any damaged components. First, place the chair upright and upside down to observe the contact between the wheels and the ground, ensuring that each wheel foot is fully in contact with the ground. Then, check for any cracks, deformations, or signs of wear on the wheels when the chair is upside down. If damage is found, purchase matching new wheels: you can contact the manufacturer and provide the chair model to order original parts, or take the old wheels to an office supplies store to compare the shape (such as round or square) and size (diameter and length) of the wheel axles for replacement. When replacing, first use your hand or a flat-head screwdriver to assist in removing the old casters. If the casters are fixed with screws, use a screwdriver to fully loosen the screws before removing them; if they have a snap-fit design, apply appropriate force to pull or gently tap the base of the wheel axle to detach it. Before installing the new wheels, spray a small amount of lubricant (such as WD-40) into the sockets on the chair base. If lubricant is not available, apply petroleum jelly to the wheel axles to reduce friction and facilitate installation. Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the casters to fully embed them into the sockets, ensuring a tight fit between the wheel axles and the sockets. Finally, turn the chair upside down and check if the wheels are level. If the tilt persists, further inspect the seat plate.
If the tilt is caused by misaligned T-frames or trays, it is necessary to adjust the fixed angles of the key components. For a misaligned T-frame, use a screwdriver to loosen the screws connecting the T-frame to the chair base, manually adjust the T-frame to a horizontal position, and then retighten the screws to ensure it is perpendicular to the ground. If the tray is misaligned, first loosen the four screws connecting the tray to the chair frame, adjust the position of the tray to align it with the center of the chair, and then tighten the screws after alignment. If you encounter a situation where the tray cannot be fully inserted, first shake the backrest from side to side, lift the reclining handle upwards, pull the backrest backwards and press it downwards at the same time, then press down the rear pulling handle, and finally tighten the tray knob to fully seat the tray by releasing the pressure on the backrest. After adjustment, test the stability of the chair to ensure there is no wobbling or abnormal noise when shaking it forwards, backwards, left, or right.
