Admin October 12, 2026
There are multiple ways to stretch your body on an office chair, which can effectively relieve stiffness and discomfort caused by prolonged sitting. Here are the specific introductions:

Eylem Abaci's 10-Minute Office Stretches
This set includes 20 training exercises, each lasting 30 seconds, and can be completed without getting up. These stretches are comprehensive and suitable for taking during longer work breaks. They help relieve stiffness in various parts of the body and also contribute to correcting posture.
Lexi's Office Stretching Exercises
- Seated Twist Stretch: Sit on your office chair, place one hand on a reachable spot on one side, and the other hand on the outside of the opposite foot, holding statically. Inhale deeply into your chest, and as you exhale, twist backward, looking over your shoulder. Repeat on the other side. This exercise moves the waist and spine, enhancing waist flexibility.
- Half Downward Dog Stretch: Stand facing the back of the chair, place your hands on the chair back, and step back as far as possible with both feet, pressing your back down while keeping your arms and legs straight. This stretch targets the back, shoulders, and muscles on the back of the legs.

- Hip Stretch: Sit on the edge of the chair, spread your feet hip-width apart, cross your ankles over the opposite knee, and press your back forward and downward until your chest and abdomen are close to your calves and knees, relaxing the hips.
- Lower Back Release: Rotate sideways in the chair, use the arm closest to the chair back to hold it, gently twist the front of your body toward the chair back, and extend the other arm toward the opposite knee as far as possible, relieving lower back tension.
- Shoulder Opener: Sit up straight on the edge of the chair, place one arm to the side, straighten your back, raise the other arm with the palm facing inward over your head, and tilt to the opposite side; or extend both arms backward, hold the outer edges of the chair back, and push your chest forward, helping to open the shoulders.
- Neck and Shoulder Stretch: This includes wrist stretchesโextend your right arm with the palm up, gently pull your fingers downward and backward with your left hand, and switch hands to repeat; and shoulder stretchesโstraighten your arms, cross your fingers, turn your palms outward, and gently raise both arms over your head to stretch your body.
