Office Chair Soft Leather Installation
You can refer to the following steps for the installation of soft leather on an office chair:

Preparation: You need to prepare tools such as a Phillips screwdriver, a flat-head screwdriver, a plastic pry bar, a snap-off pry bar, or a staple remover. If the chair structure is complex, you can prepare a set of 12mm socket wrenches. Before installation, ensure that the operating area is clean and dry to prevent dust or moisture from affecting the installation effect. Carefully inspect the new leather cover to confirm that it exactly matches the chair model and size. Pay special attention to checking whether the stitching is firm. If the leather cover has Velcro or elastic bands, arrange their positions in advance to avoid entanglement or misalignment during installation.
Detailed Steps:
Positioning and Initial Fixing: Adjust the chair to an angle that is convenient for operation. Start by putting the new leather cover over the top of the chair seat from the head (top) and distinguish between the front and back as well as the left and right sides. Ensure that the decorative lines on the leather cover are aligned with the edges of the chair seat. Pull the leather cover down with your hands to initially wrap it around the backrest and find the positions of the pre-installed snap disks (plastic snaps) or hooks inside the leather cover. Avoid using excessive force in this step to prevent the leather cover from tearing or becoming misaligned.
Snap Handling and Fastening: Feel for the gap between the backrest and the seat cushion of the chair or the slot positions on the back of the chair with your hands. Insert the snap disks inside the leather cover into the gap. Move to the back of the chair and pull the snap disks out from the other side of the gap with your hands or a tool (such as a snap-off pry bar) until you hear a 'click' sound, indicating that the snap disks are securely fastened to the chair frame. If using staples and wire for fixation, align the wire inside the leather cover with the slots on the chair foam and use a staple remover to press the staples in to fix the wire. If the leather cover is fixed with hooks or elastic bands, hang the hooks on the corresponding crossbars of the chair frame and cross-tighten and fix the elastic bands at the bottom of the chair. Use an appropriate amount of force during operation to avoid damaging the leather cover or the chair structure.
Tidying and Final Adjustment: Carefully smooth out the surface of the leather cover, especially the corners. Push any possible wrinkles outward with your hands to make it fully fit the foam cushion. If there is a zipper, zip it up; for areas with Velcro, make sure it is flat. Finally, conduct an overall inspection of the leather cover to ensure there is no looseness, misalignment, or wrinkles, and the installation is complete.
Precautions: The installation of different types of office chairs may vary. For example, portable computer chairs require fixing the seat plate iron frame first and then inserting the seat plate into the connecting rod. For some chairs (such as BMW chairs), the plastic shell may be fixed with snaps. During installation, carefully find the correct position, press down on the plastic shell with appropriate force, and a 'pop' sound indicates that it is installed in place. Pay attention to using an appropriate amount of force during the operation process.
