Office Chair Pressing Tutorial
Admin October 14, 2026
The following is a tutorial on pressing and adjusting office chairs, which can be divided into the following three categories based on the operation methods of different types of office chairs:

I. Manual Adjustment Office Chairs These office chairs achieve height adjustment through mechanical structures. The adjustment handle is usually located below the seat and is mostly circular in design.
- Lowering Operation:
- The user needs to sit on the chair and press down on the adjustment handle while applying appropriate downward force with the body (for some models, it may be necessary to press down on the chair first or use hand force).
- When the chair is lowered to the target height, release the handle to fix it. For example, for some models, it is necessary to lift the handle on the support rod first and then press down on the chair to complete the adjustment.
- Raising Operation:
- The user maintains a sitting posture, leans the body slightly forward, pulls up the adjustment handle, and applies upward force with the body (such as straightening the back).
- When the chair reaches the appropriate height, release the handle to lock the position. Key Point: When adjusting, coordinate with body force to avoid jamming or damaging the mechanical structure by only operating the handle.
II. Pneumatic Office Chairs These office chairs achieve height adjustment through the change in air pressure inside the gas rod, and the adjustment method is simpler.
- Lowering Operation: Find the knob on the gas rod and turn it clockwise to slowly lower the chair height.
- Raising Operation: Usually, it is necessary to turn the knob counterclockwise or achieve it through other designs (such as pressing a specific button). Note: The adjustment range of pneumatic office chairs is relatively small, and it is necessary to ensure that the gas rod has no air leakage or aging problems; otherwise, it may affect the safety of use.
III. Specific Model Office Chairs (such as M56C) Some office chairs are designed with independent adjustment handles for functional optimization, for example, the M56C model:
- Front Handle Controls Height Adjustment: The user needs to press the front handle while coordinating with body downward or upward force to achieve height adjustment.
- Other Functions: Some models may integrate tilt adjustment or armrest height adjustment functions, and it is necessary to refer to the specific instruction manual for operation. Tip: The adjustment logic of specific models may vary due to design differences. It is recommended to read the product manual or consult after-sales service before the first use.
Safety Tips:
- Avoid applying force quickly during adjustment to prevent damage to the mechanical structure or loss of control of the chair.
- Regularly check the firmness of components such as the gas rod and adjustment handle. If any looseness or abnormal noise is found, stop using it immediately.
- Children or people with mobility impairments should operate under the assistance of others to prevent the risk of falling.
