Office Chair Placement Method

Admin October 16, 2026

The placement method for office chairs mainly involves two aspects: placement norms and installation steps, as detailed below:

Placement Norms

The placement of office chairs should form an overall standardized layout with office desks. Firstly, the gap between the wall-facing side of the office desk and the wall should be maintained at 25 centimeters, with an allowable deviation range not exceeding 3 centimeters, to ensure reasonable space utilization and compliance with ergonomic requirements. Secondly, office desks must be arranged in a straight horizontal line, with no skewing or misalignment allowed, to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the office area. Finally, the use of office chairs should adhere to the principle of gentle pulling and pushing to avoid damage to the floor or furniture due to excessive force; when employees leave their seats or finish work, the office chair must be fully pushed under the desk, aligning the seat surface with the edge of the desk surface. This not only saves space but also prevents safety hazards caused by exposed chair backs.

Installation Steps

The installation of office chairs should be completed step by step in order to ensure that all components are securely connected:

  1. Chair Wheel and Five-Star Base Assembly: Insert each chair wheel into the assembly holes at the bottom of the five-star base, ensuring that each wheel is properly installed and rotates freely.
  2. Gas Lift Installation: Flip the five-star base so that its bottom faces upwards, align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the five-star base, and place it vertically to ensure a tight connection between the gas lift and the five-star base.
  3. Base and Seat Cushion Fixation: Place the base on the seat cushion, paying attention to the orientation of the base (usually indicated by markings), align it with the four screw holes, first screw in four B screws 3-4 turns each, and then tighten them sequentially to avoid tilting the base due to unilateral force.
  4. Seat Cushion and Gas Lift Connection: Align the bottom of the seat cushion with the top of the gas lift and insert it, ensuring that the insertion depth reaches the bottom of the base hole to form a stable support.
  5. Backrest Installation: Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the installation positions of the armrests on both sides of the seat cushion and insert them. First, use two C screws to fix the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest brackets, then align the back of the backrest with the installation holes of the seat cushion brackets, and use two wrenches to lock and fix them with D screws to ensure that the backrest does not wobble.
  6. Armrest and Headrest Installation: Press the button below the armrest surface, insert the left and right armrests into the armrest bracket holes respectively; place the headrest in the middle position at the top of the backrest, press the headrest installation area to make it fit the backrest, and use two E screws to pass through the headrest fixing buckles and tighten them to complete the final fixation.

By following standardized placement and correct installation, office chairs can meet space management requirements and provide a safe and comfortable user experience.
