Perfect Acceptance of Office Chairs

Admin October 22, 2026

The perfect acceptance of office chairs requires a comprehensive evaluation from four aspects: appearance, dimensions, materials, and quality, ensuring that all indicators meet standards and provide a good user experience.

1. Appearance Inspection

  • Surface Integrity: The chair should have no obvious flaws, including damage, scratches, dents, paint peeling, or stains. Special attention should be paid to high-contact areas such as the backrest, seat, and armrests to ensure a smooth and defect-free surface.
  • Structural Lines and Welding: The lines on the armrests, legs, and other parts should be smooth and natural. The welds should be firm and free from looseness, avoiding cold welds or cracks. The structural stability can be observed by gently shaking the chair.
  • Fabric Texture: The seat fabric should be soft and free from damage, with coordinated color matching. For leather materials, the softness and smoothness should be judged by touch; genuine leather should not stick to the body after prolonged sitting. For fabric materials, check if the stitching is even, without skipped or loose threads.

2. Dimension Measurement

  • Seat and Backrest Height: The error in seat height should be controlled within ยฑz millimeters, and the deviation in backrest height from the standard value should not exceed w millimeters. Precise measurements can be taken using a tape measure or laser distance meter to ensure compliance with ergonomic design requirements.
  • Seat Width and Depth: The error in seat width for conference chairs should be within ยฑg millimeters, and the deviation in seat depth from the standard value should not exceed h millimeters. An excessively wide or narrow seat can affect sitting comfort, so data should be strictly verified.

3. Material Inspection

  • Frame Structure: The chair frame should be sturdy and free from decay, insect damage, or cracking. For wooden frames, check the moisture content; for metal frames, confirm that the surface rust-proof treatment is adequate.
  • Material Identification: Verify the authenticity of the materials through observation, touch, and simple chemical tests. For example, genuine leather has a natural texture and good breathability, while synthetic leather may have a plastic feel; metal parts can be tested with a magnet to determine if they are stainless steel.

4. Quality Inspection

  • Stability Test: Apply a vertical pressure equivalent to x times the human body weight on the seat surface and repeatedly test it for a specified number of times. Then, check if the chair structure is intact, if the gas lift function is normal, and if there are no loose or broken parts.
  • Functionality: The adjustment functions should be sensitive and reliable, including free adjustment of seat height and angle; the five-star base and wheels should be stable and free from looseness, moving smoothly without jamming.
  • Ergonomic Design: The seat cushion and backrest should fit the human body curve, providing uniform support to avoid fatigue after prolonged sitting. Comfort can be assessed by actually sitting on the chair for 10-15 minutes.
  • Detail Quality: Check if the chair gaps are even, if the welds are flat, and if there are no burrs or sharp edges to prevent skin scratches during use.
