Peeling Underneath the Office Chair
The peeling underneath an office chair can be addressed using the following methods, depending on the peeling area and the degree of aging:

If the peeling area is small and the leather is not severely damaged, neoprene glue can be used for adhesion. First, clean the dust and debris from the peeling area to ensure a clean adhesion surface. Then, evenly apply glue to the back of the leather and the corresponding position on the chair, being careful to control the amount to avoid glue overflow. Wait for the glue to dry slightly until it becomes tacky, then precisely align and adhere the leather, and press it with a heavy object for a period of time to ensure a firm bond and prevent future detachment.
If the peeling is only minor abrasion and the overall leather condition is good, a leather renovator can be selected. First, clean the leather surface to remove stains and dust. Then, according to the product instructions, evenly spray or apply the renovator to the peeling area. Multiple applications may be required, with intervals between each application to allow the leather to fully absorb, restoring its luster and softness while covering up the peeling marks.
For small damaged peeling areas, leather repair paste is a good choice. Select a repair paste that closely matches the color of the chair's leather. After cleaning the peeling area, evenly apply the repair paste to the damaged spot, smooth it out with a scraper or finger to blend it with the surrounding leather. After drying, sanding and polishing can be performed to further integrate the repaired area with the surrounding leather for a better repair effect.
If the peeling area is large or the leather has severely aged, replacing the leather is necessary. First, measure the dimensions of the area to be replaced and purchase suitable leather material. Carefully remove the old leather, taking care to preserve the fixing holes and method. Cover the new leather over the corresponding position and install and fix it using nails, clips, or specialized leather fixing tools in the original manner, ensuring the new leather is flat and secure.
In addition, leather repair patches can also be used. These patches do not require glue and can be directly applied to the peeling area. They have a genuine leather texture and are less likely to curl up after application. They are simple and convenient to use, suitable for situations where the repair effect requirements are not high and a quick solution is desired.
