Office Chair Installation Position

Admin October 10, 2026

The installation positions and steps for an office chair are as follows:

  1. Installation of Chair Legs and Casters The chair legs usually have a five-claw structure, and the casters need to be inserted one by one into the assembly holes. For silent universal wheels, insert them directly into the corresponding holes of the alloy legs of the chair legs. Key Point: Ensure that the casters are fully embedded to prevent instability caused by looseness.

  2. Installation of the Pneumatic Rod Place the thicker end of the pneumatic rod vertically against the center hole of the chair legs or insert it into the reserved hole in the middle of the chair legs. Precautions: The pneumatic rod must be kept upright to avoid abnormal pneumatic function or damage to the chair leg structure due to tilting.

  3. Connection of the Base and Seat Place the base on the bottom of the seat, align the screw holes, and tighten the screws in sequence. Some designs require fixing the base to the top of the seat first and then reinforcing it with screws. Operation Points: The orientation of the base must match the functions of the seat (such as the position of the adjustment buttons). Tighten the screws with appropriate force to prevent slipping.

  4. Connection of the Seat and Pneumatic Rod Align the bottom of the seat with the top of the pneumatic rod and insert it into the base hole, or assemble the seat first and then vertically fit it onto the pneumatic rod. Core Requirement: The insertion depth must meet the design standards to ensure a firm connection between the seat and the pneumatic rod and prevent detachment during use.

  5. Installation of the Backrest

    • Method 1: Insert the bottom sides of the backrest into the installation positions on the seat cushion armrests. First, use screws to fix the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest brackets, then align the installation holes on the back of the backrest with those on the seat cushion brackets, and tighten the screws with a wrench.
    • Method 2: Insert the backrest into the supporting structure, tighten the screws, and then use the adjustment device to tighten or loosen the backrest angle forward or backward.
    • Method 3: Install the backrest onto the shorter lower frame, press evenly to align the screw holes, and tighten the screws to complete the fixation. Safety Tip: Test the locking effect of the backrest adjustment function to prevent accidental movement during use.
  6. Installation of the Armrests Press the button below the armrest surface, insert the left and right armrests into the armrest bracket holes respectively, or install the armrests last. Detail Requirement: The height of the armrests must match that of the seat. After insertion, test the left and right shaking amplitude to ensure stability.

  7. Installation of the Headrest Align the headrest with the middle position at the top of the backrest, press it to fit snugly, and tighten it with screws through the fixing clips or directly tighten the two fastening screws. Function Test: After installation, adjust the angle of the headrest to confirm that it can be adjusted synchronously with the backrest or move independently.

Summary: The installation of an office chair must strictly follow the order of component connections, with a focus on checking the tightness of the screws, the verticality of the pneumatic rod, and the flexibility of the adjustment functions. After installation, it is recommended to sit on the chair and test the stability of each component to ensure safe use.
