Installation Inside an Office Chair
The installation steps for an office chair are usually as follows:

First, install the casters and five-star base. Insert the five casters one by one into the corresponding holes of the five-star base, ensuring that each caster is fully embedded and rotates freely. Some installation instructions will emphasize that this step is the initial operation, and it is necessary to check the compatibility between the casters and the base to avoid installation difficulties due to size mismatches.
Second, install the gas lift. Insert the gas lift vertically into the central hole of the five-star base, ensuring that the bottom of the gas lift is tightly fitted to the base. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height, and it should be kept vertical during installation to avoid instability during subsequent use due to tilting.
Next, secure the seat pan and the seat plate. Use four M6*20mm screws to attach the seat pan (chassis) to the bottom of the seat plate, and then insert a long screw through the base and connect it to the seat pan. Pay attention to the tightening force of the screws in this step. Loose screws may cause the seat to wobble, while overly tight screws may damage the components. Some installation instructions recommend using an electric screwdriver to assist in the operation for improved efficiency.
Then, connect the backrest and the seat plate. Fix the backrest and the seat plate using back-to-seat connecting brackets, ensuring that the angle between them conforms to ergonomic design. Subsequently, use two M8*25mm screws with washers to attach the armrests to the backrest. The function of the washers is to distribute pressure and prevent the screws from loosening or damaging the material.
After that, install the left and right armrests. Use six M8*25mm screws to fix the left and right armrests respectively, and tighten the screws symmetrically to ensure the balance of the armrests. During installation, the angle of the armrests can be slightly adjusted to make them naturally connect with the backrest.
Next, install the headrest (if applicable). If the office chair is equipped with a headrest, use two M6*20mm screws to fix it to the top of the backrest. The height and angle of the headrest are usually adjustable, and it is necessary to confirm that the adjustment mechanism operates smoothly without jamming during installation.
Finally, install the decorative cover (if applicable). Cover the decorative cover over the screw holes or connecting parts to enhance the overall aesthetics. The decorative covers are mostly snap-on designs, and they should be aligned with the positions and gently pressed to secure them during installation.
Precautions: Before installation, check the parts list to ensure that all screws and components are complete; avoid scratching the seat surface when using tools; if you encounter installation difficulties, refer to the illustrations in the instruction manual or contact after-sales support.
