Office Chair Installation Guide
The installation steps for an office chair are as follows:

Step 1: Install the Casters and Chair Base
Attach each caster to the chair base, ensuring a secure connection between each caster and the base. After installation, insert the gas lift vertically into the center of the chair base, ensuring a complete fit between the gas lift and the base. Some installation instructions mention prioritizing the assembly of the five-star base and wheels; the core goal of this step is to ensure a stable connection between the chair base and the moving parts.
Step 2: Install the Seat Plate and Seat
Use four long screws to secure the seat plate to the bottom of the seat, ensuring the screws are tightened and the seat plate fits snugly against the seat. The seat plate is a key component connecting the seat to the gas lift; check for loose screws to avoid wobbling during subsequent use.
Step 3: Connect the Backrest and Seat
Connect the backrest to the seat using corner brackets, securing the connection between the back and seat with screws. Some designs use a snap-fit structure; insert the backrest into the tray, ensuring the snaps are fully engaged without gaps. Pay attention to whether the angle between the backrest and seat conforms to ergonomic design in this step.
Step 4: Install the Armrests
Install according to screw specifications in steps:
- Use four M6*25mm screws to secure the armrests to the backrest;
- Use four M6*30mm screws to connect the armrests to the seat cushion;
- Use two M8*25mm screws to secure the armrest brackets to the armrest bodies;
- Finally, install decorative caps to cover the screw holes.
Some installation instructions mention that the left and right armrests should be symmetrically fixed, using three screws on each side; adjust according to the specific model.
Step 5: Install the Headrest
Use two M6*25mm screws to secure the headrest to the top of the backrest, ensuring the adjustable part of the headrest moves smoothly. The installation height of the headrest should be adjusted according to the user's height; test its stability after installation.
Step 6: Final Assembly
Vertically insert the assembled seat part into the top of the gas lift, ensuring a complete fit between the gas lift and the seat. Adjust the height of the gas lift and test whether the chair's lifting function works properly, while checking that all screws are tightened to avoid local loosening and potential risks during use.
Precautions:
- Before installation, verify the screw specifications and quantities to avoid mixing them up, which could lead to structural instability;
- The gas lift must be installed vertically; tilting it may cause the lifting function to fail;
- After installation, thoroughly inspect all component connections to ensure there are no loose parts or unusual noises.
