Office Chair Installation Guide

Admin October 10, 2026

Here is the office chair installation guide:

I. Basic Installation Steps

  1. Caster Installation: Insert each caster into the mounting holes of the five-star base one by one, or pick up the universal wheels and press them into the five-pointed holes to install them. Ensure that all five wheels are properly installed and secure.
  2. Gas Lift Installation: Flip the five-star base over and place the thicker end of the gas lift into the center hole of the five-star base. For some models, first place the gas lift into the center hole of the five-pointed star, then insert it into the center hole of the base, and finally flip the base upright.
  3. Base and Seat Cushion Attachment: Place the base on the seat cushion, paying attention to the orientation of the base (usually marked). Align the screw holes and secure them with four long screws (or B screws). Tighten the screws by screwing them in 3-4 turns first and then tightening them one by one.

II. Backrest and Seat Cushion Connection

  1. Seat Cushion and Gas Lift Connection: Align the seat cushion with the gas lift and insert it into the base hole to ensure it is properly seated.
  2. Backrest Installation:
    • Method 1: Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest mounting positions on both sides of the seat cushion and insert them. First, use two C screws to secure the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest brackets. Then, align the mounting holes at the back of the backrest with those on the seat cushion brackets and use two wrenches to lock them in place with D screws.
    • Method 2: Tilt the backrest and insert it into the seat cushion pins, then secure the pin cover (applicable to some simple models).

III. Armrest and Headrest Installation

  1. Armrest Installation: Press the button below the armrest surface and insert the left and right armrests into the armrest bracket holes respectively. Some models require using No. 3 screws to secure the armrests or adjusting the armrest height via buttons.
  2. Headrest Installation: Place the headrest in the middle of the top of the backrest, press the mounting area to make it fit snugly, and secure it with two E screws through the fixing clips. Some models support direct pressing to adjust the angle (0-90 degrees).

IV. Function Testing and Inspection

  1. Appearance Inspection: After installation, check the chair's upholstery for scratches and ensure all accessories (such as screws and covers) are present.
  2. Function Testing: Test the 360-degree free rotation, height adjustment (within a 6 cm range), and lumbar support adjustment functions to ensure they all work properly.

Precautions

  • It is recommended to watch a detailed video tutorial before installation to confirm the details and avoid damaging parts due to improper operation.
  • When tightening screws, do so step by step to avoid excessive force on one side, which could cause the base to tilt.
  • The installation methods for armrests or headrests may vary for some models, so adjust the steps according to the instructions.
