Office Chair Installation

Admin October 08, 2026

The installation of an office chair should be completed step by step, as follows:

  1. Basic Component Installation

    • Chair Base and Wheels: Insert the five casters vertically into the holes on the chair base one by one, ensuring they are fully secured. For some models, insert the gas lift into the center hole of the chair base first, then install the wheels, paying attention to the direction of the gas lift (usually the end with the button faces upwards).
    • Seat Plate and Base Plate: Use four long screws (e.g., M625mm) to fix the base plate to the bottom of the seat plate, ensuring the screws penetrate the reserved holes on both the base plate and the seat plate and are tightened. If armrest connections are involved, use the matching screws (e.g., M630mm) to initially secure the armrest brackets to the edge of the seat cushion.
  2. Structural Connection

    • Backrest and Seat Plate: Align the corner brackets (metal connectors) of the backrest with the reserved holes at the back of the seat plate and tighten with screws. Ensure that the direction of the black fabric or decorative cover aligns with the seat plate to avoid misalignment.
    • Armrest Installation:
      • For independent armrests, use M8*25mm screws to connect the armrest brackets to the armrest bodies. After installation, add decorative covers to conceal the screw holes.
      • If the armrests need to be fixed to the seat surface, use long, thin screws to pass through the holes at the bottom of the armrests and the edge of the seat cushion. During installation, adjust the position by bending the base frame to ensure the armrests are level and stable.
  3. Detail Adjustment and Finalization

    • Headrest Installation: Align the metal rod of the headrest with the reserved hole at the top of the backrest and secure it from the back of the backrest with two M6*25mm screws, ensuring the headrest can be adjusted up and down and is not loose.
    • Anti-Slip and Stability: Install anti-slip pads or feet at the bottom of the chair base to ensure the chair does not wobble when placed. If there is a gap between the gas lift and the chair base, slightly adjust the angle of the gas lift or add shims.
    • Screw Re-inspection: Use a screwdriver to clear all holes (to avoid obstruction by burrs) and tighten all connections according to the principle of โ€œtightening in stagesโ€ (e.g., tighten the screws on one side first, then secure the other side, and finally fully tighten) to ensure all connections are secure.
  4. Precautions

    • Model Differences: The screw specifications (e.g., M6/M8), quantities (e.g., 16 screws including 2 coarse nuts), and installation sequences may vary for different models. Refer to the instruction manual or video tutorial (e.g., 526 Office Chair Installation Video) for guidance.
    • Tool Preparation: It is recommended to use an electric screwdriver for efficiency. When operating manually, control the force to avoid stripping the screws or damaging the threads.
    • Safety Tips: Avoid sudden ejection of the gas lift during installation. Keep children away from the assembly site until it is complete.

Tip: If the screw holes do not match or components are stuck, do not force installation. Check if parts are misaligned or missing, and contact after-sales service for specialized tools or parts if necessary.
