Office Chair In-situ Fixation

Admin October 19, 2026

The methods for fixing office chairs in place vary depending on the type of chair, with common methods including the use of in-situ locking bases, lever locking, base clip fixation, and strap tightening.

For common swivel chairs, they are usually equipped with an in-situ locking base. The operation method is as follows: push the handle on the right side to the left to lock the backrest, keeping the chair in a fixed position. This design is simple and easy to use, suitable for scenarios where you need to maintain the same sitting posture for a long time, such as office work or meetings.

The Daboli S20 ergonomic chair uses a lever to control the recline angle. Specifically, there is a lever on the right side of the seat cushion. Pushing the lever back locks the recline angle, preventing the chair from moving due to body leaning back; pulling the lever outward and applying force to the back unlocks it, restoring the chair's free adjustment function. This design takes into account both comfort and the need for fixation, suitable for users who need to adjust their sitting posture flexibly.

If the chair is a gaming chair or some office chairs and comes with matching accessories, the base clip fixation method can be used. The operation steps are as follows: clip the matching plastic base onto the bottom of the chair, and then press the base onto the ground. The clip design of the base firmly fixes the chair through tension, without the need for drilling throughout the process, and does not damage the ground. The appearance remains clean after disassembly. This method is suitable for scenarios where the chair needs to be fixed for a long time, such as gaming competitions or display events.

For the need to temporarily arrange chairs, the strap tightening method is more suitable. Specifically, use durable Velcro straps to cross-wrap around the legs of adjacent chairs. After tightening the straps, the chairs will be fixed in a row and are not easily loosened. After use, simply untie the straps. This method has a high reuse rate and is suitable for occasions such as meetings and training sessions that require quick setup and cleanup.

When choosing a fixation method, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the type of chair, the usage scenario, and the fixation requirements. If the chair has a built-in locking function, prioritize using the original factory design; if temporary fixation or ground protection is required, choose the base clip or strap tightening method. Correct operation can not only enhance the user experience but also extend the lifespan of the chair.
