Office Chair Genuine Leather Processing
Office chair genuine leather processing involves multiple steps, including raw material selection, quality inspection, sewing, and handling of supporting materials.

Raw Material Selection: The genuine leather used in office chair processing is purchased as pre-processed leather rolls. Common types include full-grain leather, corrected-grain leather, and composite leather (PU leather). Full-grain leather retains its natural texture, offering good durability but at a higher cost. Corrected-grain leather is lightly sanded, resulting in a uniform color. Composite leather has a polyurethane top layer on a base layer, providing a consistent texture and color with high cost-effectiveness.
Leather Quality Inspection: Upon arrival at the factory, the leather undergoes strict quality inspection. This includes checking for color uniformity, thickness, and softness, as well as examining the surface for any defects or blemishes. Physical properties such as tensile strength, abrasion resistance, and scratch resistance are also tested. Only leather that meets all standards is sent to the cutting workshop, ensuring reliable quality for subsequent processing.
Sewing Process: Experienced sewing operators use industrial sewing machines to stitch flat leather pieces into three-dimensional seat covers, backrest covers, and armrest covers. This process involves various stitching techniques, such as plain seams and double-needle seams, requiring neat and secure stitching with natural alignment of patterns and textures at the seams. The sewn leather covers undergo preliminary inspection to ensure no loose threads, skipped stitches, or stains, guaranteeing the appearance quality of the finished product.
Handling of Supporting Materials: In addition to leather, other materials are crucial for making office chairs. The high-density rebound foam used for internal filling affects the long-term comfort and shape retention of the seat and backrest. Metal components that support the overall structure, such as five-star bases and gas lifts, are typically made of steel or aluminum alloy, requiring sufficient strength and durability. Precision gas springs and chassis mechanisms for height adjustment and tilt functions, as well as accessories like casters and plastic covers, are also essential. All these materials undergo corresponding quality tests before being put into storage, ensuring that each component meets quality standards and collectively guarantees the overall performance and lifespan of the office chair.
