Office Chair Function Adjustment
Office chair function adjustment mainly includes aspects such as headrest, height, recline, armrest, backrest, seat depth adjustment, and other adjustment habits, as detailed below:

For headrest adjustment, different models have different operations. The headrest of the Gaotian Massage Master model has multiple positions. You can hear a pulling sound when adjusting the height. If the height is too high, you can slightly push it forward to lower it. The Qingxian Dynamic Ergonomic Chair allows height adjustment by pulling, and there are corresponding operations for adjusting the front and back positions.
There are various ways to adjust the height. The general method is to find the hand control device, pull up the corresponding control lever or turn the knob to adjust the height. For some pneumatic models, you can pump the lever (repeatedly push it up and down to raise or lower the seat). If you can't adjust it to the right position, you can adjust it from a standing position so that the front of the chair is just below your knees. You can also choose an appropriate height according to tasks such as operating a computer or working at a desk. For example, when operating a computer, keep your eyes level with the monitor; when working at a desk, keep your elbows at desk height. The Gaotian Massage Master model is rather special. There are two red tabs on the armrests. Pulling them up raises the chair height, and pulling them down while sitting lowers the chair height.
Taking the Gaotian Massage Master model as an example for recline adjustment, the red tabs on the armrests can adjust the unlocking and locking of the recline. Pinching them once unlocks the recline. There is a shaft under the right hand. Pushing it outward reveals plus and minus signs, which can be used to adjust the recline force of the chair. Turning it forward a few more turns increases the resistance, and vice versa decreases it.
For armrest adjustment, the Gaotian Massage Master model has a button on the side. While pressing it, you can move the armrests up and down. Generally, the armrest height should be level with the desk to ensure that the elbows are at a 90-degree angle when the upper arms hang naturally. If arm support is not required, the armrests can be removed or lowered to avoid obstruction.
In terms of backrest adjustment, if the Gaotian Massage Master model feels like it doesn't provide enough support, while sitting, press the buttons on the backrest simultaneously, and the lumbar support can move forward to enhance support. The lumbar support can be pushed forward by one, two, or three positions. After the fourth position, it can extend forward at an angle. It is a sliding lumbar support that always follows in the reclined state, preventing an empty back and shifting. If the support force is too strong, be careful when operating to avoid pinching your hands. Generally, the height of the lumbar support determines the lumbar spine support and must be aligned between the third and fourth lumbar vertebrae.
For seat depth adjustment, ensure that the thighs are fully supported, and leave a two-finger gap between the back of the knees and the edge of the seat cushion.
For other adjustments and habits, if the chair is too high, you can prepare a footrest and place your feet on it. A static sitting posture is harmful to the body. You should make dynamic adjustments and change your sitting posture every thirty minutes, such as leaning forward to work, reclining to rest, and turning left and right. Use the chair's recline resistance adjustment to allow slight movement of the pelvis. The support pressure of the lumbar support changes with body movement to avoid continuous single-point pressure. Combine with a footrest and an adjustable desk to form a multi-posture cycle.
