Office Chair Front and Back Slide
For ordinary office chairs with a gas lift design, here's how to adjust the front-back slide:
The front-back adjustment function of such office chairs primarily relies on the adjustment lever located beneath the seat. To operate, first sit firmly to ensure your body's center of gravity is stable. Then, use your hand to pull up the long lever located at the front underside of the seat. At this point, the seat's locking mechanism is released, allowing your body to naturally move the seat forward or backward. After adjusting to the desired position, release the adjustment lever, and the seat will automatically lock, securing its position. This design is achieved through theไผธ็ผฉ (telescopic) characteristics of the gas lift, making it simple to operate and suitable for most basic office chairs.

For high-end ergonomic chairs, 'front-back adjustment' typically refers to seat depth (seat pan depth) adjustment, operated as follows:
The 'front-back adjustment' on high-end chair models focuses more on optimizing sitting posture support by adjusting the seat depth to match the needs of users with different body types. The adjustment mechanism is generally located beneath the left or right side of the seat pan, commonly in the form of a pull handle, knob, or paddle. Taking the pull handle as an example, the user needs to maintain a sitting posture and pull the handle with their hand. At this time, the front part of the seat pan will extend forward or retract backward independently, thereby changing the contact point position between the buttocks and the seat. After adjustment, release the pull handle to fix the seat depth. This function prevents the legs from hanging in the air due to a too-short seat pan or pressure on the back of the knees due to a too-long seat pan, enhancing comfort during prolonged sitting.
Precautions:
- Before adjustment, ensure the seat is in a stable state to avoid the risk of tipping over due to operation.
- Seat depth adjustment on high-end chair models may be accompanied by other functions (such as lumbar support linkage), so refer to the specific product manual.
- If the adjustment lever or pull handle operates stiffly, check for obstructions or gas lift leakage, and contact after-sales service for repair if necessary.
By following targeted operations, users can quickly resolve issues with the front-back slide or seat depth discomfort of office chairs, enhancing the overall user experience.
