Office Chair Folding Installation
Admin October 22, 2026
The installation of folding chairs can refer to the following general steps, and specific operations should be adjusted according to the actual chair model:

I. Basic Structure Assembly
- Sorting of Panels and Hardware: Classify and arrange the main structural panels of the chair (such as side panels, backrest panels, and seat panels) and hardware accessories (screws, self-tapping screws, hinges, and buckles) to ensure that all components are complete and undamaged.
- Fixing the Side Wings and Cross Braces: Taking the left side as an example, align the side wing armrest with the wide cross brace and secure it from bottom to top using long self-tapping screws; connect the lower cross brace and fix the screws to ensure structural stability.
- Installing the Backrest and Right-Side Structure: Position the backrest panel with the holes facing down, connect it to the side wings, and tighten the screws; the installation method for the right-side armrest is symmetrical to the left side, requiring repeated tightening steps.
II. Connecting the Legs and Cross Braces
- Left Leg Assembly: Stand the left leg structure on its side, connect the lower cross brace, and secure it with long self-tapping screws; when installing the narrow cross brace, place the corner with the notch facing forward and upward, ensuring that the front edge is flush with the side panel before tightening.
- Right Leg Assembly: After fixing the screws on the right leg, stand on one leg to install the front narrow cross brace, following the same method as the left leg; check that the leg structures on both sides are symmetrical to avoid tilting.
III. Installing the Hinges and Seat
- Hinge Fixing: Locate the white hinges and white self-tapping screws, install the hinges at the designated positions on both sides of the chair (such as the connection points between the side panels and the seat panel), and tighten the screws; repeat the operation to install the hinges on the other side.
- Seat Installation: After combining the structures on both sides of the chair, use small yellow hinges and self-tapping screws to fix the back of the seat; place the seat and adjust its position to ensure it fits snugly against the frame before fixing the screws.
IV. Adjusting the Buckles and Safety Devices
- Buckle Installation: Lay the chair on its side, place the buckles in the reserved positions, first fix and tighten the screws on the left buckle, then the right one; after releasing the buckles, stand the chair up and lift it to install the remaining buckles, ensuring stability when folding.
- Safety Buckle Testing: Some folding chairs are designed with safety buckles (such as models that can be transformed into ladders), which need to be fixed with yellow self-tapping screws and tested for smooth opening and closing; after restoring the chair to its original shape, fasten the safety buckles to enhance stability.
Precautions:
- During installation, keep the cross marks or holes on the panels facing upward to avoid misalignment of the screws.
- When tightening the screws, tighten them gradually in stages to prevent structural deformation.
- If the chair is designed with special functions (such as transformation or height adjustment), refer to the instruction manual to adjust the sequence of steps.
- After installation, check all connection points and shake the chair to test its sturdiness.
